I made... a forum site... for TWEWY like I had planned... (which most people probably don't care about) BUT STILL! I just wanted to show the work I've done and maybe get some tips on finding new members. Anyways here's the site. Pretty good for my first forum huh? threapersgamerp.proboards.com/index.cgi

Like Xeno mentioned, the red and blue is a bit on the iffy side. Try going for colors that go nicely together without blending in excessively, like say, a darker slatish-blue color for a font since you're using blue; just try going for something that doesn't blend in too much so it's practically camouflaged, but doesn't stick out like a sore thumb either. If you want to stick to the red theme, try a dark burgundy-ish color and see how that works. It can be tough though to get a color that everyone likes, so just try experimenting with the colors a little bit till you get a good combination that people generally like. Though, I would also recommend sticking to gray for fonts, as that gives a bit more flexibility for people who like to put colors in their posts. Oh, if you need advice for getting a forum started, also worth checking out is www.theadminzone.com/. It's a site dedicated to admins, new or experienced, to maintain their forums, show 'em off, get them started and keep them running. It has tons of excellent advice from numerous admins, such as posting rules, guidelines to what make a good mod/admin, and attracting traffic to your site. Granted, I've yet to see anything RP related about it, and you will have to register eventually to view everything, but it lets you view a certain number of topics while you're a guest. Now, if you don't want to do that much, I'll at least say this: advertise your site a little bit. You're off to a good start by posting this topic I'd say, but adding the link to the site in your sig is also a good idea. No need for a *click here!* thingy, just say something like "The Reaper's Game - The World Ends With You RP" and give the link and that should work; people who are interested or heard of the game will check it out. Ask friends to check it out, and ask them to tell their friends about your site, and if some forums allow advertising through threads (in moderation of course), take advantage of that and post a topic there telling people what your site is about. Join other sites that hold common interests to what you want to advertise (Square Forums might not be a bad start). About the advertising though, don't overdo it and post the link all the time or ask random people to check it out. That will most likely get you in trouble and... well, even without that that will actually just turn people off. Usually posting it in your sig will be enough to garner a little bit of attention. Also, try to be ready to have a bunch of newbies check it out if you're lucky; by advertising you're pretty much saying you're ready to hold a party for a fairly decent number of people. Make sure you're ready to properly welcome them to the "fam"! (Sry Ronnie, had to quote ya there. >.<") That said, the site appears interesting, I might enjoy a TWEWY RP. Unfortunately I don't think I'll have the time to join right away due to school, summer school and other RP commitments I have (currently I am working for a large Claymore RP to work as a GM/supermod, as well as normal RPing in there). Still, if I find the time I'll probably join up and see how I can be a part of the community; looking at the pins ideas thread has caught my skill-making interest... though I fear I just might steal some ideas from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure instead. Not that its ideas are bad...
