Unknown to the Gantzers, evil would strike again. This evil had arrived at an apparently deserted farm and was none other then the The Puppet Master's newest follower; Takase Niito was his name. Takase Niito had betrayed his fellow Gantzers and now was known only as a traitor to them.
Though, who could really blame his decision? The current team of gantzers were nothing more then push-overs playing right into the hand of the Puppet Master. While they were weak the Puppet Master had power; Takase preferred power. Thus, is why he swore his allegiance to his 'father' rather then to 'the controller' who restored his life. Gantz merely gave him life, but what Takase desired was something more then that. The Puppet Master gave him a purpose. He gave Takase something to live for, rather then allowing him to return to his previous life that had already fallen apart. For that alone Takase was in his debt.
A bolt of lightening crackled through the sky. As the light shined briefly, Takase was visible with a look smug look plastered on his face. His eyes were on a worn down shed that he was passively walking toward.
At last he reached the shed and opened it ajar. Inside he was greeted with cob webs that hung in abundance in front of the door. With his hand he pathed a way through them and set his sights on the hardware the shed contained.
Shovels, machetes, shears were the easiest to spot on the wall, but none really caught his interest. He wanted something more and when he turned on the light he was rewarded with exactly what he was looking for; a chainsaw lay idle in a corner.
“Heroes beware...I'm well aware of how to play a villain's role.” Takase mused; his reasoning behind his musing being that he himself had well earned experience of the two as a director.
The traitor then glanced down at his hand as an orb appeared and his eyes glowed red. Takase was up to something. Whatever that 'something' was would be the Gantzer's soon misfortune to discover. That is if they survived long enough to find out.
Meanwhile back within the safety of the apartment...Ami shook her head from side to side as tears rolled down her cheeks.
Only a moment ago, Jomo demanded answers from Ami Ryousuke, but the chimp's attention was immediately drawn to the task at hand; the ball had opened and she was beginning to feel as if its request was all too familiar.
“Deja-vu! Deja-vu!” Jomo-mo-mo gestured to Montezno with excited vigor.
Judging by her actions it was easy to guess that something of that sort rarely ever happened to her. For this reason alone Montezno glanced at the briefing on the ball and then back at Jomo. With his attention on her alone, realization hit and he then tapped his forehead before speaking, “Ya...I remember ya mentioned this. The hunt before last, eh?”
Jomo nodded and Montezno rubbed his chin in thought and continued, “Ya...this shit ain't neva happen before. Well at least we know now that were not just investigating, instead it seems as if “the controller” has resorted to sending his 'peons' to do the dirty work that even he himself has no word on.”
Montezno sighed.
'Could it be that Dominique's role as Gantz is what's altering the way how it use to be done? She had always been keen on serving Gantz, most likely more of one of his biggest followers, but I know for a fact that their nothing alike...and if she's in the ball...where the hell did the bald guy go?' Montezno thought, shaking his head as his thoughts drifted on to whether or not he was dreaming when Gantz responded to him.
'Dom...hold on...I'll find a way to get you out of there.'
When Montezno awoke from his thoughts he noticed that he was moments away from touching Dominique's cheek with his hand. When he realized this he instinctively reached out to grab his suitcase instead. He then opened it, swearing to himself and frowning in thought as he remembered Jomo mentioning how useful the controller had been during the mission similar to this one.
He then snapped his suitcase closed only to then scowl as he noticed a perverted Michael Hein, even while in pain, ogling Dominique as he grabbed an X-rifle from the rack and a suit from his open suitcase. Montezno watched him retreat to the hallway and he couldn't help, but wish to break whatever was left of his limbs.
It was then that Zerojii approached the Gantz ball with a distant look on his face. Romney couldn't help, but stare at the man as he reached into the ball, pulled out an x-gun with his right hand, and a y-gun with his left. He then placed the y-gun in his left thigh's holster, and grabbed a controller from an already opened suitcase; it must have belonged to Michael Hein. Examining it, he pressed the large button on the left that had seemed the only button worth pressing before he'd been hit by a truck only just yesterday.
'Holy shit...who is this guy anyways?' Montezno thought with widened eyes as he saw Zerojii changed frequencies. 'When the hell did he learn how to do something like that? Stealth was only shown to me after...' Montezno thought before trailing off. He couldn't really remember whether it was Jomo or Dominique who taught him, but he knew for a fact that him and Dominique made good use of it on various occasions.
“Hey...” Montezno called out to Zerojii, but received no response, being that he had already teleported out.
Romney then found himself looking toward Mako Mitsuhara who was now in clear view. As he looked at her he immediately recognized that she was going into shock, something that he was too familiar with from his unwanted premonitions. Her face had also lost color and her eyes for a moment seemed very familiar.
'Those eyes...' Montezno thought to himself.
After being teleported out Zerojii would come to find out that he was in a location different from the first time he arrived on the farm. He was instead standing in the middle of the road positioned so that the first thing he saw was a sign announcing, “Next town 28 miles”.
As he finished reading this Zerojii would hear a loud horn as his body was enveloped in bright light.
Inside the Apartment and in front of the hallway, Dino looked toward Jou Jouichi and his sandwich with disdain; being that it was 'goopy' and unappetizing. He would notice that Jou Jouichi would shrug and begin to treat himself to the meal. As Jou ate he happened to hear Lance to his left state,
"What made you think I started thinking we had a right to kill humans when I gained this gear from the controller?" Lance asked in response to Montezno's previous accusations, but not in an entirely audible tone; seeing as to how Dino was the only one who heard this.
'Why's he so hell bent on killing the girl?' He thought to himself, deciding immediately that he didn't like him as he saw Lance's eyes shift toward the Ami that replaced the the one Lance killed.
Even though Gantz replaced them all and her once more, was Lance Fredrickson willing to continue to test it's limits? Surely there had to be a catch seeing as to how Jira was still dead without any signs of her being replaced at all.
Keeping this in mind he headed toward the ball, eying the X-rifles and the suitcases. Then not a moment later Jou Jouichi shrugged once more and proceeded to head over to grab a suitcase of his own.
Meanwhile...In the center-most area of the apartment there had been yet another embarrassing pile up. On top had been Theodore and below him had been Anthony, Yama-Yamagata, Justin and Makoto in descending order.
“Get the fuck off-a me god dammit!” Makoto screeched in pain from under the weight of four other people and those people being a half of a hand selected few that she had come to despise recently.
Theodore heard her scream this and used his hands to push himself up off of Anthony. He then stepped backward and regained his balance, taking time calm down, noticing that the ball was now open.
"Hope you learned your lesson! No messing with me." He stated sounding very un-intimidating being that he just childishly tackled a group of people for the sole purpose of proving himself to a mere teenager.
Not even the 'Con-man' himself could pretend to look smarter then how stupid he looked now...
So, instead of dwelling on the issue, he turned on his heel and headed toward the black ball.
Anthony was next to rise, picking himself up, and choosing to ignore the 'idiot' and his anger issues, because something more important had happened; the ball had opened and the target was being shown. Last time, this information had been almost entirely useless, but he read it quickly nonetheless, taking it in for what it might be worth.
Then as Justin wormed from under Yama-Yamagata, Anthony hurried over to the open ball, glancing at each of the two corpses now and then, as if some morbid force drew his eyes towards them involuntarily. Taking out a controller, an x-gun and and x-rifle, he put the first two in each of his large coat pockets and held the rifle in his hands.
When he arrived back Makoto had already began to glare at them all as she dusted herself off. She then glanced at Yama-Yamagata with an annoyed expression. “I didn't ask for your help...” She stated with a bit of pride in her voice, showing that that alone was as close as a 'thank you' he would be getting.
She then couldn't help, but think, 'Doesn't it bother him that I killed him? Or does he even know?....Just what the hell are you plotting Matsuda...'
Her thoughts were then interrupted as Anthony cleared his throat and began to speak.
“It sounds ridiculous, but in a moment we have to go out and hunt aliens. These are the weapons we need to do it. Grab the case with your name on and put on the suit inside it; it'll protect you. I'm wearing mine underneath my clothes at the moment."Justin rubbed his face in annoyance.
"My god, what is this guy talking about? Aliens and suitcases and what not. This shit doesn't make sense!" Justin shouted, standing up and walking over to the ball along with Yama-Yamagata despite how he felt about the whole ordeal.
Makoto watched them leave, but didn't budge herself. She instead, rubbed her temples as she watched them from afar. “Are all foreigners so damn annoying?” she asked out loud before glancing down at her controller.
It looked as if it were malfunctioning to her, but in reality the data on Tam's controller was being rewritten. With a slight grimace she then stood, staring at Anthony.
'Now that I've thought about it...I was pretty sure he was roadkill after he jumped out of the truck like that. Could the suit really be able to do something...like that?' Makoto Setsumi thought to herself until Yama-Yamagata returned.
"I guess we need to put these on" He said not even hinting at the possibility of actually knowing Makoto killed him. He merely only toyed with his controller until pocketing it until a time when he required its use.
"Why does this thing seem so, tight?” Justin then asked aloud as he returned with a suit and suitcase of his own.
Then beside him he heard a voice, “Why's mine sooooo big?!”Jou Jouichi exclaimed catching Justin off guard.
Who the hell was this guy and why did he have his and someone else's suitcase?
“Helloooo, I'm Jou...Jouichi and I'm Osakan!” he stated in an Osakan accent. He then frowned when he noticed Anthony and Makoto and stepped back pointing at them as if in a state of shock. “Hey, hey, hey! I knoooow you guys!” he then exclaimed.
“I sure wish you didn't...you talk so slow and its beginning to annoy the hell out of me.” Makoto responded and then happened to read the name on the other suitcase he was carrying. “F-flaming? R-red-headed BITCH?” Makoto read out loud.
“Hey...you know I figured that was you so I grabbed it for ya...”
Makoto couldn't help but glare at the fat Osakan as she snatched her suitcase away from him. As she did this she noticed that Yama-Yamagata had already left to change and she caught a glimpse of him entering the door to the left of the Gantz Ball.
She saw this as her chance to speak to one of her own and probably one of the only people here that she could stand to be around. Once inside she locked the door behind her and turned to face Yama-Yamagata who just so happened to be staring at her through the bathroom mirror as she had entered. He had been about to change, but her mere presence prevented him from having the privacy he needed to do just that.
Makoto broke eye contact to set her suitcase on the toilet and began to pull off her shirt revealing her bra. “We need to talk...I want to know where you stand and how far plan on going with...this.” She began apparently not bothered by undressing in front of him.
Meanwhile, outside the bathroom, Luke had planned on going inside to change, but was denied access by the locked door. Letting go of the door knob he stated,
"Hmm, interesting,” addressing no one in particular then and even now as he paused and added ,
“So, what now?" As he asked this he began to witness what was happening over by the gantz ball... Kiba picked up a X-gun before noticing that there was another Ami in the room.
"So wait a minute? She's not an alien right?" he said taking a closer look at her.
As he did this Ami took a step back as she dried her eyes. Bobbie saw this and defended her by flying in between them. “Of coarse she isn't...right Ami?” Bobbie asked her, but she only responded with silent sobs.
Kiba then glanced off at the Gantz ball. It was then that he himself realized they were going back to the farm.
"Aw shit! Not the Space Farm again!" Kiba complained and Bobbie took a moment to look at it for himself.
“What? Pshhh...That shit looks nothing like home...” he confirmed flying closer to the ball.
Next to Bobbie, James Bunnark grabbed a suitcase and an X-rifle.
"How do I use these things and what do they do? ... Why am I here and what is this whole mess about? Did I die or what?" he asked Montezno breaking the veteran's attention away from Mako.
“Yo, what the fuck...did ya read the ball or not? Accept it already...as for how they work its simple. Top trigger aims and the bottom shoots.” He responded getting annoyed.
"Ok...?" Kai said to himself,
“Just what is this thing?” asking this as he reached for the last X-gun.
However, before he could grab it, Scott managed to get to it first. So, he instead went for one of the cases he saw at corner of his eye. To his surprise one of them had his name written on it so he picked it up, opening it then and there to find a controller and a tight black cos-play suit inside. He would then notice that his surroundings changed soon after, replacing the scene of the apartment with that of a worn down farmhouse.
When he had completely teleported out Scott held his X-gun up above him to feel how heavy it was and see how someone would aim their shots, he quickly noticed the screen for the X-Ray on the gun, unsure if it would really show bodies and unwilling to take the chance of provoking one of the people around him.
"This stuff is pretty darn high-tech man, but..." Scott trailed off amidst his mumbling, wondering if what he held was real or not as he examined it more.
Just then...Lance approached the group centered around the ball.
"So the real one has arrived." He muttered to himself, he finally raised his voice to one that he thought would make Montezno hear him as he approached the ball.
“I highly doubt ya cared either way...” Montezno snapped back at him causing Ami to glance between them in confusion.
"I believed I could kill people for a long time. It is a natural part of humanity that we are capable of easily taking the life of others. From a child simply curiously plucking the wings off the back of a butterfly, to a crazed lover shooting those who would mean harm to their affection. I offer my services to the highest bidder. I am a mercenary. That is all." Lance stated, still no emotion entering his voice.
Montezno shrugged, smirking despite the annoyed arch in his brows. “Now you've gon' and confused me. Now I can hardly even tell the difference between you and the common prostitute...”
When Bobbie heard the word prostitute he quickly jerked his head in their direction and Jomo couldn't help but palm her face after seeing him do this.
Lance's gaze then shifted to Ami once more after taking what he needed from the Gantz Ball.
"You had asked, before your absence, if I had ever loved. I will make it clear now that I have not felt a single emotion ever since the painful induction into my world." Lance then looked around the room.
"Everything is business as usual. We are about to be deployed, to kill the target nominated by the controller, this is how our world is as of now on. Death, emotions has no place in this world. Theodore, your status has changed, come see me for a new contract-" Lance finished before facing the ball once more.
“L-Lance-” Ami interrupted with tears still in her eyes. She looked as if she couldn't believe what she was hearing as Lance spoke so nonchalantly toward her about the possibility of actually loving anyone; he didn't even consider how she felt at all. “How can you work alongside that...that monster?” she asked, trying hard to ignore the answer to her previous question and respond to it with another.
"Here, I'm sorry, but I forgot my library card mind if I check you out... I know that was joke, but you look simply....?" Ren trailed off offering her a handkerchief that she took with pure confusion; it was pretty dirty.
Jomo rolled her eyes at the weak method Ren used score 'points' with Ami Ryousuke. She then focused back on the camera around the girls neck still wanting to know what happened to Tomoko and why Ami had her camera.
Montezno on the other hand merely sighed and attempted to push through the crowd of people that were now distracting him and blocking his view of Mako. He himself was beginning to question her actions more then anyone else lately.
However, once he could see past them he noticed that Mako was unfortunately no longer in the room. She must have teleported out while he was distracted with the newcomers. Realizing this he turned and shook his head only to see that Ren was pointing a X-Gun at Ami's forehead.
"Quickly, now tell me. Why you aren't the same girl dead on the floor of this room coming back from the depths of hell attempting yet another shot at me. I'm not in the mood to play games especially in this apartment where the whole world looks like a distorted rubix cube." “She's not an alien!” Bobbie screeched at him.
“Shit...” Montezno muttered soon after seeing where this was going. He then noticed Ami's eyes widen as she saw her own corpse on the other side of the room as well as the one belonging to Jira not too far away.
'Damn I can't believe no one covered that shit up...this shit is getting out of hand . If he shoots...she's wearing a suit, but if someone were interfere, theres the chance that a person without one could get hurt instead.' Montezno thought to himself.
“Lance...what's going on?” Ami asked while raising her hands into the air as if in her own defense.
Soon after, she noticed Theodore approach Lance with two X-rifles and a controller in hand. She heard him ask Lance,
"How does this work?" looking at him and treating him as if he were a partner of some sort.
At that moment that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Ami snapped and charged toward Ren, going as far as to kick him in his lower extremities as he attempted to get the X-Gun to fire. She then wrestled the gun from his now weak grip and pointed it at Theodore and then at Lance.
“Holy shit!” Bobbie shouted as he saw Ren crouch over and drop his X-rifle and Y-gun. “Then...again...maybe she is an alien!”
Hearing this Ami began to back into to the back wall feeling as if she could no longer trust these people.
Jomo-mo-mo and Montezno glared at Bobbie; he wasn't helping at all! Seeing this, Montezno crouched and grabbed Ren's dropped Y-gun. He then held his hand up and tried see if he could put a stop to all of this. If it got any worse he'd have to be forced to use it on her; Montezno didn't want it to come down to that.
“Hey...chil-” Montezno attempted to say, but was cut off as he saw her eyes glance up at his head.
“What?” he asked, before his view of the room shifted to that of a view of a barn. He then sighed dejectedly, “Alright...whatever...”
Meanwhile in the hallway...Dino had been heading toward the bedroom room up until seeing Michael Hein struggling to put his suit on. As unfortunate as it was for Micheal he was unable to even take off his shirt without screaming out in pain. Soon after Dino then witnessed Michael begin to teleport out.
After teleportation, Michael Hein would find himself sitting on the ground as rain pelted down on him. In his arms he held his suit and X-rifle and his broken arm was as good as new. If he were to look front of him he would see a run down farmhouse and to the left of him he could see Kai Sekimoto.
