I can't begin to apologize enough for how long I've been gone, but at least allow me to explain. 4/20 came up, and I decided to visit old friends. After that, I spent time with both of my parents. My mom had been in Dallas, TX, and I think I got swine flu from her. Massive explosive DH (If you ask what this is you will be saying "too much information" when I answer you).
I haven't been able to get Ronnie to take my phone calls, but I'm going to be setting up the mod training soon. I'll continue to try to get in touch with him as time goes on. Again, I'm sorry for disappearing the way I did. I have a lot going on in my personal life right now.

Well so long as we know now what's going on, it's fine. At least I feel better knowing that you haven't forgotten us. ^_^
Dang about the possible swine flu, hope you feel better soon. Though, from what I have heard most people that have died from it were pretty much at death's door to begin (one was very old, another had terminal cancer or something like that, others were in similar cases) with so if you were otherwise plenty healthy I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah it pretty much just made me shit my brains out constantly
I'm not too sure about whether or not I'll be continuing alpha; my main concern at the moment is to set up mod training and define it and whatnot. i still haven't been able to get a hold of ronnie, but give me some time, and i'll probably get his ass on the phone eventually

Well, I won't ask for it to start right away... I imagine the mod training is more important. As long as there's a possibility of it continuing at all that should keep me happy.

the problem is ronnie set up a olot of it (or at least he toldme he did) but i don't know where it is
i've been trying to get him on the phone to help finish this off but he's not picking up, his mom said he was on xbox once and to call back but he never picked up
if she gets on the phone again ill tell her to slap the shit out of him and make him get on

You know I hate to say it, but I think in this situation it might be best to skip over the training because this site is almost dead. These sorts of beuracracies will only serve to prolong this inactivity which may end up doing the site in. If we get some mods now, at worst we'll end up with some storylines getting screwed up due to inexperience, but at least the site will be active again.

Well at least Ron seems accessible by KB, but I would also want to get in contact with Dane and JPimin, through email or phone or something, and tell them that we're aiming to revive the place (and maybe give specifics on certain ideas we plan to utilize, AKA new projects by possible new mods) and they should update their Projects ASAP.
Still, getting new mods, even if we aren't sure of how experienced they are sounds like a good idea. There will be new concepts that will draw members in and if they utilize the idea well, it'll keep them in. Also, advertising in other sites never hurts if done properly.

I meant as in you can call his phone and you at least know he's around doing something through that (well it was more as in his mom told you, but still...). Sorry, I should've been more clear on that.
This might sound crazy, but what possibility is there of re-recruiting old mods and having them continue their projects (or even restart them or make new ones)? I mean, as long as they are up to it of course and I don't know a whole lot about the site's prior history before I registered, but I was personally going to look at possibly investing a little time into Def's project some time after summer vacation starts.

Well if you're looking for mods I'm still alive here. As for Ronnie, even if he's not here we can continue, Kbell has just as much power as Ronnie. I'll even give you my cell number if you need to contact me immediately.

Well once again my suggestion is that just this once we should skip the training since the sites dying worse then it ever has been before. Don';t get me wrong, normally I wouldnt support doing that, but its the lesser of two evils in this case. Once the site gets back on its feet we can go back to doing things with proper procedeurs, but right now I think an action of some sort needs to be taken with some haste.

gotta say I agree with you on this one.
We should only have one new project at a time, though, to avoid any project getting too few recruits, imo

I agree. The best options might be me or Xeno since we check out the site most often. I haven't been posting because it doesn't seem like there's much I can do. But I'll follow whatever orders you have Kbell, and if you assign me as the new mod I promise I'll do my very best to keep an interesting, and active story rolling.

Not to sound snooty or anything, but I did request to be trained for Modding, MONTHS before Calcus did.

I'm not a huge fan of them, but what if we did a vote on whose project we might want to start first (provided both Xeno and Calcus give a synopsis on what sort of things we could expect, like location, possible new equipment, events that are happening in the RP or might happen, what they plan to do as GM, etc), then do the other say a month or so later once activity has risen? Or would that be a little unfair?

In the end it's all up to Kbell what happens, but a vote sounds fair to me. I originally wanted to do a project taking place in Africa to give something a little different, but with all this happening I think I should play it safe. If I were to start my own project, it would most likely take place in America, but if popular demand prefers another location, I'm willing to do research to give a realistic environment. The style would most likely be a blend of horror and action, with romance/drama mixed in if the players want it. Personally I love tragic, dark storylines, and in terms of NPC's, I'm capable of making a wide variety of in-depth personality. For my version of Gantz, it would likely be more talkative, but be even more sadistic and cruel than the average Gantz. In this Gantz' case, all the hunts are primarily for his entertainment (and secondarily for the seemingly universal goal of all Gantz balls.) For weaponry, I'd most likely make suit upgrades for the most part, but not full on super-upgrades like the gorrila suit in the manga. Such examples would be: -A regenerative ability built into the suit -A larger power supply -A certain ability in basically being able to suck your weapons into your suit via energy manipulation and be able to take them out anytime you likes through one of the nodes on the suit, thereby making it much more convenient to keept weapons with you. -All around speed/strength upgrades -Tentacles (think "The Darkness" Series... and some hentai if you're REALLY sick -.-') And the possibilities go on and on. Upgrades are available at the end of every mission, the prices not always at the massive level of 100. However the 100 point menu would still exist with the options of leaving the game or returning someone from the data-banks. There may be some upgrades that cost even more than 100 points as well. I will mention that I'm slightly more protective of characters than most mods, so I won't go killing anybody with the first post. (probably ) And unless you do something just plain stupid, get unlucky, or are absent for a long period of time you will not be killed in an overly cheap/stupid way. I check in daily, and once I actually get to do things, I'll likely be able to be a very active moderator. Aside from all this, personally I'm not a good artist, but I 'do' have quite a few friends that are extremely impressive artists and would probably give some illustrations for characters, aliens, or places that I use. Note: I don't go off topic, make random comments, or break the fourth wall in my stories and posts

Well the regenerating would take up a massive amount of the suits power. I'm not saying like you could regenerate over and over again. Trust me, I'm not going to overpower any gantzer.

i thought you meant regenerating the suit's power
if you mean regenerating limbs i can kind of deal with that possibly depending on how much suit % it takes and everything
although i think vampires kind of have that ability already i don't really remember

I don't think they've actually regenerated limbs in the manga, but they can morph to make guns apparently. I don't know, it hasn't been gone into very deeply.

for the most part nobody seems to be communicating much here anymore; a few of the other members have been doing their own thing on the backup site, s6.invisionfree.com/GantzRP/ , but as it stands, everything here is pretty much at a stand still. I had considered bringing alpha back at some point, but I really need to focus on school and what I'm going to do with my life; I don't have the time to really admin a site or mod a project with all the hobbies I'm starting to pick up again. I'm probably going to be looking for some kind of job soon, too, which will cut out even more of my free time.
