I just want to go on record that I'm not a fan of overpowered characters. It's okay once in a while if a character is a martial artist or whatever, but it starts to get ridiculous when every other character is an international assassin. So, for Project Ultimatum at least, if I get a number of overpowered characters, I'll pick one or two of the most believable ones, and request changes to most of the other profiles.

Thank you!
Admittedly a few have been characters I liked, but it seems like a third of any given Project consists of crazy-ass super assassins. Defeats some of the point (ordinary dudes killing stuff) IMO.

Of course, if anyone gets too out of control, you could always off them with a switchblade dildo.

Obviously it's up to the mod to decide who they let into their project. If you decide to not let characters into your project that you consider overpowered, that's up to you. Just remember that gantz is about survival, and as such, I would personally assume that whoever controls gantz would pick those best suited to the task.
that being said, the only character I've made that I think could be considered as overpowered is zerojii. his background definitely gives him an edge in sword oriented melee, but RPing has a lot to do with survival as well. It's up to the mod to decide how a person's previous skills apply to survival once that person enters a mission; RPing is the only way a mod can gauge that performance imo.
So, basically, you are entirely allowed to deny characters acceptance to your project if you feel they're overpowered. I'm all about mod rule homie.

I'm not talking about completely denying Overpowered, it's always fun to have a Kaze running around, but it's when every character in the room is a world-class fighter, or the world's greatest battle tactician that it starts to wear down the fun of the project. I actually thought Zerojii fit in well since he was pretty much the only PC that was a total badass before coming to the room in Eastern.

yup i agree. Never been a fan of overpowered characters. Maybe the only character i had wgich could in a way be called overpowered was sendo in defectron's project. Even so he was just a boxer so he just had better reflexes and stuff...

I definitely enjoyed playing zerojii the most, but I've definitely wanted to play a normal guy lately as well; just like some boring person that somehow ends up in the room from an accident or something. he'll probably end up dying but that's kind of what gantz is about, lol

well normal don't really have to die though. i played my first character with the same characteristics and background as myself and he survived through hell of a lot and even managed to get a 100 pt weapon. so it's more about how you roleplay than what the ablities are your character starts out with.
