think about it. he just sits in that black ball saying nothing like he's dead. maybe whoever organized all this shit needs a human brain to power everything. We've all heard about that the human mind is capable of a lot of supernatural shit. So i think Gantz is just a puppet and not the mastermind. What makes it even more plausible is that there are multiple teams and of courses Gantz's. Which means the man in the black ball can't be the mastermind since he'd be the only one then.

I've always thought that Gantz was just a middleman ever since I first saw the series, its clear that there must be someone or something else above him. As for if the man in the ball is gantz I think that's pretty probable , or at the very least the guy in the ball acts as an interface for something else.

And now that we know that there are many black balls, i'm sure the people inside it will be different ones. So maybe this is an organization or something?

High speed networking at it's best? I always thought that the man inside the ball was Gantz, but he wasn't the only one. His technology is similar to highly advance computer systems, combined with a strange sort of molecular assembler link. I think that all the Gantz's are linked up to one another and are in constant communication with one another, sort of like computers on a network, but all the computers on the network are essentially linked up to an administrator server, so maybe while each Gantz is in direct control of their own things, they still need to seek permission from the admin?
