Ok, just read it. While it is good, it's also short and doesn't reveal much beyond the 100 pointer has eyes similar to the acid oh the many armed alien from the bhudda mission, also has regen powers, and finally shape shifting. All in all, I say, from this conclusion, Katou will claim the kill since this is a slightly more nimble version of the many armed alien.

And Katou has a Y-gun on him. Y-guns succeed where X-rifles fail.

Yeah, the regeneration bolsters my hope that Kato will get the kill. The eyes aren't exactly like the hundred arm alien's acid, really; they're actually more like the lantern laser it had if you ask me. I mean, it's not like the alien has to wait for it's eye-light to hit you; it just has to look at you (I'm assuming the light coming from the alien's eyes travels at the speed of light... seeing as how it's.. you know.. light). That heroin junkie was a retard anyways. I mean why the hell would you charge an alien like that? Especially when it has backup AND it's proven it can regenerate?
edit: Actually, the eyes on this guy are sort of unique; while it dissolves like acid, and moves at the same speed as the laser, it's definitely superior to at least the acid (since it doesn't have to fly through the air, if he looks at you, you're pretty much hit). I'm not sure if the dissolving happens instantaneously, or if it takes a few seconds, though. The laser just cut through stuff and kept going, so I'm assuming this eye light shit takes a few extra milliseconds to actually dissolve shit.

Almost everyone on the Stoptazmo boards are convinced that Oka (The cat whose gotten 100 pts 7 times) is actually Kurono. I'm thinking he's just some guy who got into Gantz and got really good at it. (Kurono ain't the only badass in Gantz). But I hope we get to see him before the end of the mission.

yeah stoptazmo ppl tend to come up with some pretty ridiculous shit a lot of the time. If it's Kurono, I'll shit a brick, but I mean come on; why would it be him? I'm with you on this dane, I don't see why it would be Kurono. I just hope Kato can wish him back.

Well, I like Kurono, but I'm not too bothered if he comes back. If he does, y'know, that's cool, but if not, I'll accept it and move on with my life. I just want Katou to succeed. ;D

I'm honestly more interested in Kaze and Host Samurai to be honest. Those guys are bad ass. I just think Kato needs Kurono to help fight. With Kato supporting Kurono (now that Kato can actually friggin' fight hopefully), they'd be a pretty good team.

Kurono needs a climatic re-incarnation so it shouldnt happen so fast, so it should get overly super hard to gain points and stuff. so it should take a while before he returns.
demon eyes spotlight of death is proper baddass!
some how i can see the 700 score guy will show up near the end and steal the 100 points in one foul swoop of the gantz sword. and he'll be barely seen just like a frikin ninja or sumet lol.

Man, the aliens that the Osaku team fought must have been weak as hell. They can barely kill 20 point aliens. Anyone find that strange?
I think if Kurono (isn't the same without him) does get revived though he'll be back in the room, with the memories of the moment he was teleporting out. Irony,
Nishi might revive Izumi since they seem to have history (I highly doubt though)
Tokyo team is probably better due to train... not including Oka, and the guy that almost killed the 100 pointer seemed pretty good to.

i think Osaka team are probably just cocky now that survived so many times and got so many points. not even giving a damn and just having fun like its no big deal. [except Oka the 1337ness] Nishi must have been kinda lame to have not got his 100 points and escaped the Gantz room lol. Izumi cud hav just let that girl die, what a hypocrite he is lol. Kurono should come back after Titz cus shes funny, and the dog too that goes for her lol. sigh. mini muscle rider lol awsm
maybe that Tae girl should die next time and participate in Gantz and try to bring Kurono the guy she barely remembers back to life lol. nah. Kurono shud get hook up with Reika woop woop.

Nishi isn't weak, Nishi's death was due to bad luck, no suit so far has failed due to so little damage... most of the time Kurono survives is due to sheer luck. We really don't know if Nishi made it to 80 points 3 times, and just failed three missions. All of his team besides Izumi probally died. Kurono was the only one who survived the buddist mission, and even though that was luck, there's defiantly something special about him. So he's had to rely on failing team members, basically if he doesn't complete the mission noone will.
Nishi is probably better than at least 7/8's of the Osaka team, who so far have died against aliens that most of the team would at least put up a decent fight against (plus the Osaka team died with uber weapons).

Well, I reckon Oka has some form of cloaked mecha unit (back in one of the earlier volumes they have a design for what looks like a Gantz Exo Suit Mech in the extra pages). And I hope that when Kuruno resses, Reika takes advantage of at least the momentary disorientation or even the full on memory mess between Tae and Kei.
And about that Stoptazmo thing, it could be true. Gantz is capable of some crazy shit, multiples of the same person, messing with peoples minds, etc. Maybe that Osaka Gantz Unit duplicated Kei and put him against insanely strong enemies as a test to see his limits.
I'd also laugh if until now, Osaka Gantz sent that team against hordes of 1 and 2 (possibly 10) point aliens before suddenly flinging them at 100 point aliens.

katou wont get the 100 points. it's too good of a happy ending for Gantz. And i wanna know what's nishi's been up to and that guy who's cleared 7 times.

A happy ending? Not really. After all this, they still have to go back to the room and risk their lives again. Besides, last mission, it seemed as if everyone had died, y'know, Sakata had a big hole in him, Kaze was dismembered, etc... but then it turned out that everyone that actually fought with the ultimate oni, despite being the ultimate gantz alien, survived. Would you not consider that a 'happy ending' for the mission? I mean, I would consider surviving any Gantz mission a 'happy ending' y'know?

Sorry balance, I don't even bother to read anything that they speculate about on stop tazmo seriously anymore, so I'm leaning towards them being wrong on everything. That's weird that they have mechs in the fanart... I was actually planning on including mechs (little tiny fast ones and big awesome explodey ones) in the prototype mission where gantzers attack instead of defend (attack alien homeworlds like they're attacking earth). Obviously you'll need a little heavier weaponry if you're taking on a whole planet.
As for it taking a long time to revive Kurono... it's been like over a year since he died. Bring the bastard back already. The first chapter of phase 2 came out Sept 22, 2006, and we had to wait months for that after Kurono died in the first place. It's about time that crazy bastard gets his ass back in the game. I mean, he's either coming back after this mission, or not at all, in my opinion.

Oka isn't Kurono. That would be stupid...Oku Hiroya doesn't write stuff that dumb. If you've read Hen and Zero-One you know his continuity aways makes sense.
Kato is a G. He is the only character to actually kill a monster that Kurono could not. Izumi hasn't even accomplished this. Actually no one in Gantz has done this. Kato killed 1000-armed Kanon. Incidentally...1000-armed Kanon is very similiar to this 100 pointer...both regenerate and virtual instant kills. During Bhudda Mission...they had a solid team. The sniper, Jugo, The Kickboxer Sakuraoka, Kei the man who rules even without a suit, and Kato-cha. Kanon took down the whole team. I wonder how many points 1000-armed Kanon was worth. For that matter I wonder how much the Lord of Lightning was worth.
In anycase Kato will rock in this mission. Y-gun is one of the best weapons. X-Rifle isn't great unless it's used to snipe...or it's used for Multi-lock ons...which Kyou sadly did not use. Spazer(power new weapon) is strong but slow. Sword is awesome. Y-Gun is perfect against something that regenerates.
Kato is going to get the 100-pointer...or get 100 points. Waaaay to many fans have been complaining about Kurono's death and these missions take forever...Kurono will come back at the end of the mission.
Izumi should come back...but with Kato around, he probably won't. It was stupid how he died. Izumi against Kato would have been a good conflict.
The only decent speculation about Kurono being revived is this:
Kurono is going to be revived from the moment that he thought he was free. So when he comes back he's going to think he got stiffed until Kato-cha explains it. And even then their going to have to deal with host samurai...
