Hand-held Weapon or Suit Upgrade?: Hand-held.
What does it look like?:
What does it do?:
The X-Railgun fires an extremely high-powered blast of energy that is capable of traveling over a large distance nearly instantaneously. The strength of one shot has the ability to rip through most kinds of normal rock/cement and even cut clear holes through most of the metals produced on earth.
While the X-Rifle can be used as a close-range weapon and also work at long range like a sniper rifle, the X-Railgun is specifically made for firing from a distance. There is a switch not too far from the triggers which would enable someone to switch from normal firing mode, to overdrive. The same switch can be pulled back past normal to Burst.
Strengths:
Long range (2,000 meters.) Strong enough to shoot through rock/metals. Overdrive allows the next shot to charge a ball of energy about the size of a basketball, which when fired shoots a wider, faster shot that drains the weapon dead. Burst fires 3 quick shots from the railgun.
Weaknesses:
Not meant for close-range fighting. Very heavy, so it can be a pain to lug around. Overdrive will drain the weapon, and it would need to recharge for 3 posts. Burst isn't nearly as accurate as either of the other two fire-modes, and it isn't as strong as them either, and the range is cut in half.
What is your weapon distribution dependent on?:
100-Point weapon.
Preferred use of guns, specifically the X-Rifle.
