I can't decide what to watch. Maybe you can help? I'm interested in anime with action, drama and a dark theme. Sometimes I'm willing to hop to other animes outside those generes if the anime is good enough, but I try to stick to what I'm accustomed to. However, I hate mainstream anime such as Bleach, Naruto and Inuyasha, so please don't include those in your suggestions.
Here's what I've watched so far...
Air Air Gear Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad Series Black Cat Darker Than Black Death Note Disgaea DNA² Flame of Recca Chobits Comic Party Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu Excel Saga E's Otherwise Some of Detective Conan/Case Closed Elfen Lied Eureka 7 Ghost Hound Getbackers Ghost Hunt Ghost Stories Gravion Great Teacher Onizuka Hellsing Higurashi Series (Waiting on 3rd season) Initial D Jigoku Shoujo Hell Girl Series (Waiting on 3rd Season) Jing: King of Bandits Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien/Rumbling Hearts Kino's Journey Maburaho Melancholy Of Suzumiya Haruhi Midori No Hibi Neon Genesis Evangelion Nightwalker Ninja Scroll Orphen Outlaw Star Paradise Kiss Pretear RahXephon (May need to watch it again tho...) Rune Soldier School Days Shakugan no Shana Tenjho Tenge Those Who Hunt Elves Tide-Line Blue Tsubasa Chronicle Cardcaptor Sakura Welcome to the NHK .HACK Series Golden Boy Gantz Spirited Away To Aru Majutsu no Index Series
...and that's about it.
So help me out, please?

Here is what I am watching so far, or have watched and would recommend to just about anyone who likes anime:
Angel Beats!: Don't let the name fool you... it's a hilarious anime on par with the bizarreness of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Expect mass-slaughters, crazy weaponry, Resident Evil parodies, rocket-propelled school chairs (and better yet people sitting on said chairs), and more.
Baccano!: It's about multiple unrelated characters (idiot thieves, mafia groups, alchemists, etc.) after an elixer for eternal life, and is told from multiple viewpoints. Can very easily switch from admirably lighthearted to brutally violent, but it's a must-watch all the same. Also has the coolest jazz opening for anime yet.
Durarara!!: Made by the same person who wrote and directed Baccano!. It's about certain events and the people living inside the city of Ikebukuro (a real place in Japan) living their lives as these events happen. Another great series full of plot twists and a bit of involvement with Celtic mythology (one of the characters is a Dullahan, a headless, headhunting fairy).
Gundam Unicorn: An OVA about the light novel of the same name. There's only one episode out, and the second won't be out till fall, but it may be worth a watch. It's very good if you're into mecha.
Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei: A dark comedy about an extremely depressed teacher who is constantly trying to kill himself, but his attempts are constantly thwarted by the problems of his own students. Just watch it, I guarantee you'll love it. It's where my awesome avatar comes from!
Senkou no Night Raid: I'm recently picking this one up, but it's about the Japanese Imperial Army (or rather, a part of it, a spy organization called the Sakurai Kikan) being dispatched into Shanghai, China, after major war events such as WWI. (The setting is 1931.) I hear it has erratic updates to the episodes, but after watching the first one, I like the fight scenes and the supernatural powers involved, and the plot is proving interesting.
Well, that's all I have for now. I may add more as I remember them, but I'm certain I've listed all the big ones I have on my plate, so I'll leave my post at that. Hope this helps you out!

Thanks bro, I think I'm definately going to check out "Angel Beats!", "Baccano!" and "Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei", because they sound pretty friggin interesting.
As for the others, I shy away from gundams. In order for a mech anime to capture my interest you have to have a story that overshadows the concept of just two big robots fighting each other. I feel as if Gundams rely on the mechs to tell their story rather than the characters and I remember only one Gundam series that caught my interest, because it didn't do that. (I forget the name tho, oh well.)
As for Senkou no Night Raid, I'm still considering whether or not to check it out. Let me know how it is after you've watched it all the way through.

I haven't finished all of Blassreiter, but from what I saw it was pretty cool.
