Ok, here's where the ooc for room 4 will go. All OOC for mission 1 will go here, not in the game.
You guys don't have to worry about dying in contrived ways, I strive for realism with my deaths. So while you don't have to worry about an unfortunate series of events causing a piano to fall on your head (at least not unless you do something stupid), you will have to think your actions through. In other words it will be possible for everyone to survive a mission, but it'll also be possible for you to all die depending on how things go. If your character tries to do something unrealistic like spit a nail into the aliens eyes to blind them from ten feet away it's going to fail. Unless of course your character is approved by the admin/character creation mods as having a special nail spitting ability.
I'll post once a day, or post once everyone is done posting, whichever comes first. Preferably all of you should try to post at least once a day as well to keep things moving. Also people who don't post as much have a better chance of dying.
Now most of you didnt have practice missions for this, so it might be recommended to read over some of those to avoid mistakes. Also go over the basic game rules, so you know not to do stuff like god modding and other things like that, also be sure to read any posts before yours for continuity purposes, and try to include a fair amount of detail in posts not just "The alien stepped on my foot, it hurt so I started crying"
Here's what you have access to in the room
6 X-Guns, 6 Y-Guns, 12 X-Rifles, 5 Swords, two Bikes, 8 Controllers, and as many suits as players
I won't be using any sort of formal system for this, because lets face it, the closest we'll ever possibly get to that with me, is pretending to use a formal system, I'd always end up saying something like "wow I really ought to find my dice....I'll do it later..."
Anyway, that's all for now, and be sure to have fun in the game.

Ok the mission has started, Toestx's room, room 1 takes place in tokyo the same place as in the manga. Since it wouldnt make sence to have all the rooms in the same area, I'm having my room be in Kyoto.

Why wouldn't it make sense? It's an apartment, it could be next door, different times. This is fine though.

One reason I was thinking is if the rooms were all in the same place, people from different rooms would probably run into each other occasionally which is something thats never happened. Although what you mentioned about different missions being at different times is one possible way around that problem.
The other reason why I was thinking that the rooms would be in different places , is that strategically it wouldnt be a very good idea for gantz to have all his bases of operations in the same area. That way if the vampires or someone else found out where they were and tried to attack it would be a much bigger problem then if they just found one room.

Well if they found one room, how could they find the other ones? they would assume there is only one place.

How do you know people from other mission sets havent run into eachother, its not like they run down the street screaming "I kill aliens for a black ball named GANTZ, anyone else?"

That's not nessecerly true, if knew the gantzers base was located in a certain building and they had a way of getting past Gantz defenses they might go ahead and search all the rooms in the building. That's why I was thinking it probably wouldnt be the best idea on Gantz's part to have all the rooms in the same location, that's just common sense when you might be attacked. But then again, Gantz is kind of a half assed guy sometimes so assuming he's the one who decides locations he might not have thought it through that much. Then again I'm the sort of guy who tried to talk my step dad into not chopping down the tree in front of our house because I thought strategically it'd be better if it was there if we ever had a big storm like a microburst around here, so I might be reading into this too much.
For this I was using what weve seen in the manga so far as an example when I said no ones run into anyone from another room(not in game). Although its been hinted that there may be other rooms in the manga continuity weve never seen anything of them. Hypothetically it is possible that this has happened in the past before kurono came to gantz. I know I don't have to follow the manga continuity completely, I did bend it a little bit with the foreigners coming into the mission. It's just that I'm the sort who likes to nitpick over details like that and this whole thing with the rooms being in different locations as oppossed to the same building just sits alot better with me.
Although it would be pretty funny if the room next to gantz weve seen in the manga also had a sphere in it though.
Anyway lets slow down for a moment before this thread turns into a giant "Gantz Strategy Real Estate" thread. If you guys want to talk more about Gantz's choice in location we can make another thread for that.

Ok, after talking about some stuff in the other thread I decided to have the room be in west Tokyo instead for storytelling purposes.

Ok, here's whats going on so far, yesterday I pmed Geevious but it looks like he didnt get back yet so he probably wont make it to this mission. Everyone else made it though.
Here's what everyone has so far
Fist: X-rifle, suit, controller, katana (he already had the katana and controller on his person when he came to the room which is why he didn't pick one up)
Spike: Suit
Setsuna: suit, y-gun
Mai: suit, x rifle, controller
Alucard: two x guns, 1 x rifle, suit
Riedel: Suit
Kazuo: suit, x rifle
shadow kenda: suit, x-gun, controller, katana
Mr Blonde: two x-guns
Cop: nothing unless someone frees him and gives him something.
Mr. Orange: nothing

I don't have a controller, my character tossed it back because he thought it was worthless. I don't know if you are recording things equipped or not, but my characters has the suit still in the case and holding onto it currently.

Yeah I was just recording what they currently had in their possession, if someone steals your case I'll change that.

Just a reminder to everyone , only the game mods control aliens and npcs unless permission is given. If you try to hijack the aliens or npcs something stupid will happen to you.
Also I'm going to try to get some mission notes up sometime in the near future when I have the time.

It's cool. But now I got another Q, I thought I teleported the Otaku alien, and yet he is screaming and near Mr. White. I thought that was supposed to be the Kancho Alien.

Yeah that was supposed to be the kancho alien.
One other thing
Unfortunatly I probably wont be able to get the vishual aids with the mission notes up until monday because I'm busy working on a project for school , to be honest I probably shouldnt be on here as much as I am because I still have alot to do. (I'm making a scene for my 3d class featuring the infamous poo devil)

Shadow, your leg just got impaled by a large blade and then you got thrown violently through air by that blade. That shouldve torn up alot of the muscles or even damaged some bones in your leg depending on where it hit which should slow you down quite a bit. Even if you were completly ok the Gingivitis alien moves very fast, there's no way you would be able to beat him to the location of the Kancho alien first to set a trap like your planning to do.
EDit: There's a few things I've been thinking of implementing here today. I noticed some people in room 1 have started listing their supplies and condition in their sigs. I think this is good idea, and a good way to remind all of us whats what. I'm not making this manditory, but it is reccomended. I'll also be listing # of aliens in the current mission as well as their current condition in my sig.

i Know my player isnt supposed to be that fast sorry i forgot but at the same time the suit and andrinalen will help with the pain and mucsle issue as for the trap i didnt have to be to close to hit it just to see it and i was useing the controller so i took the shortest path insight of the creature without being seen sorry bout that but how do you think im doing sofar

other then that bit about getting there too fast your doing fine.
Anyway, looks like Alucard took a bad hit there but he's still alive at the moment. Now I'm no expert here so I'll ask for others opinions, in game about how much time do you think it would take for someone to die from a blade wound to the gut?

Bah, getting grounded sucks, it's been dicey getting on.
But I managed somehow, should be back to normal ^_^;;; Now to see if Mai's sniperworthy tendencies come in handy against this foe...

I don't know about the blade wound to the gut thing, but you could always get a random factor such as a die/dice to see how many turns it will last.

Uhoh, Mai just walked into the room without trying to avoid the aliens trap!
Guess it's time to start singing the doom song Doomdeedoomdoomdoomdeedoommdoom!
Oh well in any case I commend you for keeping it realistic by not having your character spot the trap.
Also revised mission notes will be up later this afternoon after my test. Since QM is gone I'll be npcing his character until he gets back.
