Shortly before mission 4 starts at a mysterious military base somewhere in an isolated region of the Japanese mountains.
Dr. Kanai was doing a routine checkup in the specimen room. Not to far from him was a freezer, inside were a number of dead specimens. All of them appeared to be strange creatures, things that were alien. But right now he was doing something more important checking up on the specimens that were still alive.
One was frozen in suspended animation, it's tube was marked "Subject: Enhanced human: variant 0" all it's conditions appeared to be stable. He moved on tot he next subject, unlike the last creature this one was kept in another room at 400 degrees fereignheight, hot enough to cook normal matter, but it still lived, only by keeping it at such extreme temperatures was its growth contained. The object inside of the heated room appeared to be a miniature house about 1 foot tall. If a way could be found to control it, no weapon would be able to equal its destructive potential.
Dr. Kanai was about to do the last minute checks on the rooms settings when he heard a little girls voice. "Ahh...how mean! You made Ganesh intoa Ganesh popcicle!"
"What the?!" he turned facing a strange little girl with red eyes.
"Fool! You thought you could hide him from us in such a place. Even if one of us is unconcious and near death, the nanomachines in our bodies can still communicate messages between us." he turned again to see a young man with red eyes.
"Impossible! How did you two get in here without alerting the others?" an alarm should be blaring right now with intruders on the base.
"Anyone who we passed only saw what I wanted them to see, they had no way of knowing we were here." the little girl said. "Sort of like this!"
Suddenly Dr. Kanai seemed to be on fire, he fell to the ground screaming, it was so hot! After a few minutes he was dead, but contrary to what he saw there wasn't a single burn on him.
"Well that was easy, lets go. Hey Indra, what's this thing? It looks like a little house!" Maya called over to her companion who seemed to be hacking into Ganesh's suspended animation pod. Indra turned and looked at it.
"Hmmm...interesting, I think I may have some idea what that is." A smile creapt onto his face. "Maya, smash that room open."
"Why?"
"It would be a waste of my power to punish these fools for what they did myself, better to let it handle the job." Maya didnt know what was so dangerous about a little house but she went ahead and walked over tot he window seemed to focus on something, a vain bulged on her fore head as the six inch glass cracked and then completely shattered flooding the room with heat. As the temperature dropped a warning siren went through the base. A faint red glow began to eminate from the tiny houses windows. Indra hefted Ganesh's suspended animation capsule over his shoulder and casually walked out of the room along with Maya. Soldiers rushed past them as they were seemignly invisible. They could hear screams and gunshots coming from the room behind them as they walked further away.
