Life Outside of Gantz
"Takase's Betrayal"
(Part 2) Inn Shinjuk-ku, TokyoIn Theodore's room the man known as the Con-man hardly got any sleep at all. He didn't trust Raito at all and sooner or later he would have to head to Tokyo Tower with or without Raito and earlier then expected, according to Lance. The clock was ticking and Raito hadn't yet awakened. Would he listen to Lance or ignore his threat and come when he pleased? Hotel Tamaden, Tokyo Lance would awake on the sofa to the sound of some strange inhuman noises. The television was on and currently the hunter, named Elmer was being outwitted once again by a rabbit. For some odd reason cartoons where on and if he were to sniff the air he'd realize that something was cooking. Ami had awakened surprisingly before him and had already taken the liberty of cooking him breakfast. From where she stood in the kitchen she could be seen making a traditional Japanese breakfast. “We can't train today on an empty stomach...”Ami reasoned before turning her head to glance at him. She had somehow known he was awake and luckily enough she must have not remembered anything that happened back in the Diner. Zerojii's Apartment Chiba, Tokyo Zerojii had managed to find his bed without the help of his new acquaintance, Ada Wong. Not only did he find his bed, but he also managed to set his alarm so that he was able to wake up quite early. If he caught a taxi he would be able to still have time to scout the area of Tokyo Tower long before the others arrived. But, he needed money for that... If Zerojii were to look on his night stand he'd see his wallet and a phone beside it. That solved money and the tedious task of searching for a phone which would have been his next need.

Zerojii left his phone and wallet for the time being and stretched, stifling a yawn. He reached his arms out wide and craned his neck, letting it pop and feeling relieved. He went to the shower and turned it on before taking his suit off and hopping in for a quick rinse. He kept his ears open in case anyone was sneaking around; his shower head let water out in small streams, and kept noise to a minimum. `Yeah,` Zerojii thought, `This is my house alright.`
After showering, Zerojii would put his gantz suit back on and dress in his best attire. Looking around, he managed to find a black dress suit and a nice pair of black sunglasses. He used his katana to cut holes in his pants for the straps of the holsters on the gantz suit, then popped his y-gun and katana into them. He had put on an earth toned green shirt buttoned most of the way up and hanging untucked underneath his black suit, and along with his sun glasses, he thought he'd managed to make himself look pretty snazzy. He could have added a tie at that point, but looking around, he noticed none were there. He laughed then as he realized why; wearing a tie was ridiculous. Zerojii saw a picture in his mind of a man being grabbed by the tie and his head instantly moving down about 3 feet before meeting up with a marble table.
Zerojii made his way back to the night stand and picked up his wallet and cell phone, as well as the key to his room, putting all of these in his various suit pockets. He decided rooftop travel would be likely to draw attention in the daytime, so he opted to hail a taxi and take it to the meeting spot, before finding a vantage point from which to scout the area and assess any potential choke points, escape routes, and sniper positions. He'd make sure the area seemed safe and keep an eye out from a vantage point (if he found one) for the others to show up, and once a large majority of them were there, he'd move in and make his presence known.

Lance sat up on the couch, placing his feet on the ground as he stared at the ground before himself. He looked at the clock on the wall to see how long he had, and he knew he would have to get there first to get the advantage over the animal. Lance stood up, movinng to grab his coat and putting it on himself. He stared at Ami, already wearing his glasses to hide his eyes.
"I'll be leaving soon, I've got things to do before the meeting at Tokyo Tower. Don't follow me. Your suitcase is in the bedroom, change into the suit before the meeting. Also, it would be best if you buy proper clothes before the meeting." Lance told Ami, placing about US$50 on the table before grabbing some of the food Ami made and began to eat it as he started for the door.
"Don't follow me or there'll be repurcussions. Remember, Tokyo Tower, at noon." Lance repeated, looking over his shoulder and staring once more at Ami from the corner of his eye before walking out the door and closing it. The merc with the plans began to walk towards the street, with his one remaining xgun sitting in his shoulder holster, Lance was headed towards Tokyo Tower. He was annoyed that Ami's falling unconcious caused him to have to take some random hotel for the night rather then his one near the city center. He was headed there to pick up a few items that he suspected would prove useful in his meeting.

Raito hadn't planned on sleeping to keep his eyes on Theodore. Unfortunately he had overestimated himself. As soon as he lay down on the bed Raito feel in to a deep sleep. But it would be soon interrupted, because of a nightmare. He woke up next to his bed on the ground and sweating. Raito was fighting in his dream. Although he couldn't remember what it was he couldn't go back to sleep again. His stomach cried out. He hadn't eaten for hours and it was taking its toll.
Raito walked down to the corner store to order something to eat. As he was eating he had time to think. Theodore was very talkative about his journeys. But as soon as the subject changed he stopped talking so much. It was almost as if he had a secret agenda. Raito was sure now. Theodore was an actor, everything he said and did was just an act. Furthermore he was the one Raito was following. He pulled out his cell phone to call his partner but then remembered that he couldn't do that. His partner wouldn't believe him since he was supposed to be dead. His body slightly slouched as he thought of this. He would have to bring him in personally. But that would be impossible with him wearing a suit. This reminded hi of another problem. His suit was stolen! Raito ordered some coffee as he turned on his stool and faced the streets.

T-Bag couldn't sleep. He had to meet with Lance at the Tokyo Tower later on and now that he had calmed down he understood that Lance was a strong guy. He had to be careful with him. Then there was Raito. He was a good cop because T-Bag had noticed that he was suspicious about him, however he had made a grave mistake. He had fallen asleep. It was time to act now. T-Bag walked slowly and without making much noise to the side of the bed were he had put his extended katana. He grabbed it with his two hands strongly attached at the hilt and slowly made his way to Raito's bed. T-Bag raised his arms and he was ready to cut Raito in two. Lifting the katana was pretty easy thanks to the suit and he was sure he could kill Raito easily. T-Bag waved his arms with all his strength towards raito. He would not let anyone interrupt him and after he had done so, he would escape from the window and head towards Tokyo Tower.

Tokyo TowerZerojii arrived first at Tokyo Tower. After paying the driver he noticed that he was by himself and after he paid his fair he would then notice that another Gantzer, Lance Fredrickson who was crossing the street to reach him. In his hands he seemed to be caring something, perhaps for the training and Zerojii hadn't expected anyone to come this early, but it couldn't really be helped. As long as they bothered to show up there wasn't really anything to complain about. As he drew closer Zerojii couldn't help, but feel a slight ringing on each of his ears. The feeling gave him a sense of deja-vu, but he couldn't quite pinpoint the last time he had felt such a sensation. Meanwhile, the faint sound of a motorcycle was barely audible in a alley that was well distanced away from Tokyo Tower. The woman who had been riding it then took the key out of the ignition before answering her her PDA-like phone that was vibrating against her right thigh. “Good morning, Wesker.” Ada greeted warmly before her voice switched to a serious tone. “I'm flattered that you found enough time to contact and old friend.” “I believe you have something that belongs to me, Ms. Wong.” He stated impatiently, proceeding to cut to the chase. The image of Albert Wesker could then be seen holding out his right gloved hand as if a transaction could be made then and there. “Now...I'd like to have it back and not only that, but I'd like to know who and where you managed to obtain it.” “Now, now...lets refrain from making demands. What about what I want out of all this?” “That's no concern of mine. If its money you want...name a price and its yours, but you will only be rewarded if the 'product' is retrieved without any exposure. If it is exposed I expect that you will dispose of any witnesses or threats if you value your life.” A chill ran up Ada's spine, but she smiled regardless on the outside. “Consider it yours again, but as far as being exposed...your not the only one who seems to be making this.” Wesker folded his hands over his lap before speaking. “Is that a fact?” he asked as if intrigued, but annoyed by the mere statement. “I ran into an old partner of mine. He supposedly died when NERV was destroyed and was pronounced dead since I haven't come in contact with him up until bumping into him yesterday.” Ada explained only stopping to brush away a strand of her hair before continuing. “His name was Zerojii Kenpachi...he was a hired assassin. It turns out that not only is he alive, but he's suffering from amnesia and has a connection of some sort with whoever else is shipping out copies of what your making.” “This assassin...where is he now?” Wesker interrogated. “I'm not letting him out of my sight, but you needn't have concern. If he plans on meeting with anyone...I'll know.” Ada Wong spoke attempting to reassure her client that the job would be taken care of. “See to it that I am informed periodically on your progress.” He stated to her and ended their conversation. Ada then glanced at Tokyo Tower and her target. She then sighed before equipping her gun and pointing it at a fire escape attached to the building beside her. When fired, it unleashed a wire and hook that wrapped itself around a railing making it sturdy enough for her to use as a support for her grappling hook. Inn Shinjuku-Ku, TokyoTheodore could be seen smirking to himself as the sun shined through the window of the bedroom. Droplets of a crimson liquid could be seen on his face, before he wiped his face with the arm that's hand held a bloody katana. In front of him had been the corpse of Raito, a detective who was too good for his own good. He now rested for eternity, via being severed in two at his mid section at the hands of Theodore. However, Theodore didn't have long to admire his handiwork. Someone was attempting to enter the room and without a moment to spare the Con-man utilized the window to make his escape. Now outside, he was running late. He had just killed a man, had his blood on him and unknown to him there was the chance of someone recognizing him due to his previous crimes. Hotel Tamaden, Tokyo Ami Ryousuke sighed in frustration as Lance left without much of a warm morning greeting at all. He at least ate some of the food she made, but the fact that he treated her like a kid annoyed her beyond belief. Ami picked up the $50 he gave her and crumpled it in her hand. “He can be such a dick at times...” She shouted whilst fuming. Though she soon loosened her grip of the money and placed her head on the table. She then proceeded to bang it lightly on the table as she muttered something incoherently. “Stupid...stupid...what was I even trying to accomplish?” she moaned. Montezno's ApartmentKiba awoke quite startled in a room he didn't quite recognize. The last he could remember he was about to be taken in along with Hope by Umbrella. Though, anything afterward didn't really remember. All he knew now was that he was in a living room, resting in a couch and with pictures of the girl in the black ball, Montezno and the chimp from the room in view all around him. If he were to look at the coffee table he'd see a note that was hastily written... First off, what the hell were you doing trying to take on Umbrella by yourself? Those guys are nothing, but trouble even if they are they military and imposing them is like having a death wish. Your lucky to be alive.
Secondly, hope you don't mind, but I gave you a damn bath kid. You smelled like shit and if you stay in my house I'm not going to let you stink it the hell up.
Anyways, If your reading this I'm probably already out the door. If your hungry feel free to raid the fridge and make sure that damn ape doesn't starve to death as well. She'ds probably hiding around the house somewhere.
If your heading out to go train with the rest of them I won't stop you. As a matter of fact I encourage you to go learn something about the weaponry you possess, because what happened to you yesterday was pretty disgraceful.
Your suit is on back of the couch. To reactivate it press the the two neck nodes on the right and left. If Kiba were to look down at what he was wearing he'd notice that it was a pair of sweat pants that were entirely too big for him and a t-shirt of Jomo's that stated, “Bananas and Shit.” What a weird Chimp. Unknown, TokyoTakase Niito's shoes could be heard clicking against the marble floor of what appeared to be the inside of an abandoned clock tower. In his hand he held a black orb that he held out toward a dark figure sitting on a thrown of some sort. At each side of this figure had been a lifeless doll or a wooden mannequin to be precise. “Takase my dearest, loyal subject. You never cease to amaze me with your cunning expertise.” The Puppet Master stated with pleased tone in his voice. Takase smirked and bowed down before his master. “Father...my will is to serve you and crush any that dare challenge you.” he stated with a sense of pride. “If only there were a way for these...mimes to mimic such noble traits...” The Puppet Master stated with disgust as a mime approached him with a tray balancing a glass of red wine. Takase chuckled at his Master's joke. “This is my gift to you father...” he stated whilst raising the black orb he had previously pilfered from Shin. “You are too kind...Though, I must insist that you have the honor of testing it. For it seems that Mr. Kenpachi has done us the favor of gathering all of our pests in a nice convenient little spot. And...with Ms. Sakue at your disposal I would like you to crash their little 'get-together', allowing those rogues to experience first hand, the wrath of The Puppet Master.” “As you wis-” Takase attempted to state, but was interrupted by none other than the Dark Magician who had just arrived on the scene. “Preposterous! Allowing a mere amateur like this to serve you...This is a task for someone with brilliance and experience” “Experience in failing...” Takase corrected. “How dare you talk down on me you-!” “Silence!” The Puppet Master boomed over the bickering of his minions. He then proceeded sip his wine before speaking. “My Magician...you will accompany Takase and together you will NOT fail me. I will have each and every morsel of memory that black ball contains...” “and what of Zerojii?” Takase questioned sounding almost as if bitter from jealousy. “Mr. Kenpachi will have no choice, but to succumb to our demands or witness harm befall his precious Tomoko.” Hospital Chiba, TokyoAnthony Hastings awoke in a Hospital in Chiba. The first thing he would notice was that he was no longer wearing his suit. His suit was off to the side, folded and resting on the window seal. If he were to look closely at his suit he could also see that a blue liquid had dried on it rendering it completely useless to him, protection-wise. On top of his suit he could see what remained of his weaponry after the accident was nothing more then broken scraps of metal. Anthony would have a slight headache and nothing more from whatever hit him last night and he could vaguely remember the mission, the girl and...the meeting the meeting at Tokyo Tower! He had to get out of that Hospital if he wanted to attempt to make it to the team's meeting on time.

Lance hefted the box so it was under one arm, he had changed the clothes he had been wearing for two days straight to a new set, changing his old white shirt, jacket, and black pants, to a black long sleeve shirt, and black cargos, that had holes ripped in the pockets so that he had the holsters of his suit, which he continued to wear under his clothes. Lance waited silently, scanning the crowd from behind his black shades, for the one he was meeting. Soon it would be 11am, the time of the meeting, and along with it, the animal would arrive. Lance had planned several moves ahead, and was prepared. The side talking hunter would either obey or die.

Zerojii attempted to shake the ringing from his head as he walked towards Lance, ready to inspect what sort of things the man may have brought. "Watcha got?" Zerojii asked, looking at the box. He meant to explain about how the puppet master could probably see everything they were doing, and about what Ada had told him the night before, but Zerojii still didn't know all the facts, and he didn't know exactly how to segway into something like that. For now, he'd find out what equipment Lance had brought, and then, if he could, he'd explain his situation. He wasn't sure if he should stay with everyone, because he was worried he might make things unsafe, but at this point, Zerojii knew that if the puppet master could see and hear what he could, then he likely already knew where the team was meeting. Zerojii had a bad feeling about all of this, and wanted to take a better vantage point, but he had to wait on Lance's reaction before he could decide his next move.

Lance's gaze snapped to the new arrival, someone from the room. Someone who had come early, and even though this wasn't entirely unexpected, this was much to Lance's annoyance. Lance was about to mouth off to the person when he realised it was the one with brains. Lance nodded slightly before considering how to answer.
"It's a present. One that none want to recieve, but goes straight to the heart with an explosive desire." Lance said, with mock glee. "But it's ment for another, who shall arrive soon. Stand a few paces away, with your back to where I stare, and speak your words. Why are you here?" Lance finished in a more serious tone, making the suggestion to Zerojii for him to stand close enough so the two could speak but not be suspected of talking to each other.

Zerojii's body had kept him moving as he had asked his question, and when he heard Lance's suggestion, he deemed it a good one, and continued on as if enthralled by Tokyo tower. "Here's the deal man... I don't know what's been going on exactly since last night, but I do know I've lost my memory of everything before I woke up with Puppet Master. I have good reason to believe he can see and hear everything I can, and because of that, I don't know how active a member of the team I can be. I think it might be better if I worked alone for everybody else, but I don't know if I can survive that way. I don't want to work alone, but I think it might be the only way..." Zerojii said, trailing off, his eyes getting slightly watery.
Zerojii was truly worried about the only thing that had every really worried him since he could remember; the Puppet Master. He wanted to kill the bastard for trying to use him as a pawn instead of just asking him like a god damned man. Zerojii couldn't dwell on that at the moment though. He reached up and rubbed his eyes with his fingers, hoping any passerby would likely simply see a weary man admiring Tokyo tower. "Any thoughts?" Zerojii said after a few moments, hoping Lance would have a better plan than he did.

Lance's mind began to work, the new information entered, filed, and began to be applied to his plans almost as soon as he heard it. Theories, projections, simulations, all worked together to help Lance decide how to deal with the only smart one being a tool of the enemy, and then he finally settled. Lance reached into the box, carefully removing one of the grenades inside from the contraption he had set up as his back up plan. He then moved his hand towards Zerojii, with it in hand.
"Gouge out your eyes, and listen with your ears, act with faith not knowledge, til the Master gains control of the Strings once more." Lance said, cryptically. He then spoke further, in plainer words. "Head into the crowd, maybe to the skyline, if he speaks, then throw it into the sky while keeping the ring, it will be our warning. I will have items in my possession when we truely need them, that can help us get around this situation." Lance's gaze continued to scan the crowd, awaiting for Tbags arrival.

Zerojii took the grenade and placed it in his pocket, then nodded, and walked away. He began looking down alleyways for a ladder; some means of getting to a roof, maybe even a window washer unit or something. He needed to make sure the area was clear from above, so he was hoping to find a bit of a vantage point. He wanted to be able to see sniper locations, and possible breach points of Lance's current location. He wasn't sure why he was looking for these things, but he let his instincts guide him. He'd had a weird sort of feeling, as if he'd been being watched or something, earlier in the day, and he meant to make sure that anyone planning on mobilizing an attack in the area didn't go unnoticed.

OOC:Balance said you gave us permission to talk Ronnie so i'm assumibg i arrived at Tokyo Tower by my own.
IC: T-Bag had to admit it; this was his best kill, and it wasn't even a woman. As much as he had killed, never had he used a sword and never had he cut someone in too much because he was not as strong enough and did not have a weapon to do so. This felt too good and if given the chance, he would do it again. T-Bag licked his lips and he could feel the taste of Raito's blood. He retracted his katana so it would be less on the eyes and also there would be no blood on it although T-bag had blood on his face. He had no time to admire his work as someone was trying to enter the door.
T-Bag escaped from the window and as soon as he was on street he used the strength of his suit to jump to a building. His plan was to jump building to building until he arrived at Tokyo Tower. And so he did and after a while he was on a building nearest with Tokyo Tower. He scanned his eyes for Lance and he saw him. However T-Bag had no intention to approach Lance. There were many people there and he was covered in blood, and someone could recognize him. T-Bag took the hilt of his katana and using the power of the suit, launched it nearby Lance. He hoped Lance would see it and understand the clues since it was a gantz katana. If Lance would look at the top of the building T-bag was in, he would wave at him and tell him to come up there.

Lance's eyes caught a flash of light in the air, he stared at it, not sure what it was but he recognised it as some fast moving object, and that instantly made him begin to move away from his original spot. Shortly afterwards the sword hit the ground near where Lance was originally standing and that told Lance enough, from the rough direction that the hilt was pointed. Before any crowd could amass, Lance grabbed the sword, quickly locating the buttons on the hilt, and their respective actions, he shrunk the blade right down and stuck it in his remaining leg holster, in his cargo pants, the other one already occupied by his Xgun.
Lance moved fast afterwards, he didn't know how long the animal was going to wait, Lance headed straight for an alleyway that was near the building cluster that the sword was thrown from. Using the strength from his suit, and some acrobatics, Lance started to jump from wall to wall, up the alleyway til he reached the roof top. His mood was calm, a little annoyed at the method that the creature took to gain his attention, but nothing to unexpected.
"I would refrain from doing that in the future, unless you want to be called Tinkerbell instead of Theo Bagwell." Lance said, "I know your type, so I thought I could make use of it, if not, then I'll give you this box of tricks, minus the dozen or so rings inside." Lance stared at Tbag, waiting to hear the mans response, making sure there was quite a bit of room between the pair of them so if the other moved to attack, Lance would have enough time to pull the pins, toss the box and flee from the area.

T-Bag did't understand even half of what this guy was saying but he understood that he had granades. He wasn't sure if the suit would protect hims form them so he better acted carefully. "First off," T-Bag said in a creepy voice; it was futile to act with this guy "how do you know my name, what the fuck do you want with me."

"I know your name, let us leave it at that. As for 'what the fuck' I want with you, as you so handsomely put it, I want you to follow me. You are the kind of person that would kill, maim, and betray if it caused you to live. That trait... is rare to say at the least, it brings about a killer instinct that I need on my squad, if simply to influence others. However, simply because I said I need that on my squad, that doesn't mean I need you. So, will you obey?" Lance responded "There will be incentives for doing so." he finished, feeling the breeze from their elevated altitude go past, as Lance continued to stare at the one before him.

T-Bag smiled. it seemed as this guy knew him well. "That's right, that's just the way i am. And I will kill you too if I'm given the chance, no matter if i follow you or not. And about that, I'll obey you but i have some conditions of my own." T-Bag said. He knew he could not beat Lance now if he tried and if he did not follow him, he would have an enemy more in the room, considering if he would not die here.
"First off, I don't want you to tell anyone about me, and also tell that bitch you got with you to keep her mouth shot and don't talk about me or I'm gonna rape her again." T-Bag said as he licked his lips. "Second, i need some money. As you can see I've...had some problems" he said as he tried to wipe his face off the blood. I have to buy some clothes and wipe this blood away or else I run the risk to get caught and i would not be oss use to you anymore."

"Keep in mind your position. The rules are simple. You follow my instructions, always travel with at least 2 people, however aim for 3, when we're on deployment, and you don't harass the women. In exchange, the incentive is I don't care what you do outside the hunts. Your conditions, are not vital to my plans, so I can ignore them. It is easy to turn everyone against you as it currently stands, but that reduces your chances of survival to near nil. Convincing people to allow you into the team is going to be hard, and may prove to be more trouble then it's worth if you wish to take up that barganing chip with me." Lance responded, making his voice firmer, to show that he was the one in control, not Tbag. Lance smiled at Tbag as he finished talking. Contingency planning was always a good thing, and Lance liked how he had set up everything in the lead up to this confrontation.

He would bow down. He would for now, but he would come back stronger and when that time came, he would kill anyone that pissed him off. He took it all down, in the end he was accustomed to do so. Even in jail, he took it all in the beginning and it hurt like a bitch but with time he created power. Like this, by bowing down and serving the strongest until one day, he was the strongest and other people would bow down to him. That was just what would happen here. He would make everybody regret. They would see, slowly but surely, he would win.
"Alright, but ya sure you don't wanna give me some money?" T-Bag said with a lifted mood now. "I would remember them when the time came..." T-Bag said as he smiled with irony.

"The suit is black, just take off the bloodied clothes, and go rob a grog shop or something once we're done here. You'll join us for the training session today, I will speak my piece. Do not object to what I say to them, as it is the only way I can get them to accept you. Trust, is another matter. One that I can not force, but, do your best not to kill me to early." Lance finishing his sentance in a mocking tone. Lance then reached into the box, and pulled out a grenade, pulling the pin, he tossed it at Tbag, before Lance hopped off the side of the building, using fire escapes and the like to escape the area, to the street level below, and heading back to his original position under Tokyo Tower. Laughter erupted internally at the thought of how the man he just left would react to finding out that that grenade, was actually a party novelty that shot out streamers when it 'exploded'.

Waking in the hospital bed, Anthony rubbed his eyes blearily and glanced round. He was in what looked like a hospital, and he noticed that on the window sill his clothes, including the suit, lay. Trying to remember what happened, he dimly recalled being hit by something. His head hurt a little, but he wasn't sure what had happened. The suit must have protected him from harm, but if so, why hadn't it prevented him from being knocked out until morning? It surely was morning given the rays of light streaming through the window. Then Anthony remembered their arranged meeting: midday at Tokyo Tower. He had to get there!
Getting out of bed he quickly pulled on his suit. As he did so he noticed a dried blue liquid around the nodes across it but didn't yet know what this signified. He noted it for what it was worth though.
As he put his clothes on over his suit, the other memeories of the night came back. The mission, the meeting with the girl. What was her name, Makoto? He didn't want to meet her anytime soon.
When he was finally finished he looked at the shattered remains of his x-gun. He decided to leave them; they were clearly no use to him now. He left his room and walked quickly, without breaking into a run, through the hospital, looking for any exit. He them meant to walk around outside the building until he could see Tokyo Tower over the top of the buildings and head towards it with all speed.

If you have any questions post in the LOG OOC or pm them to me. My apologies to Gattsu, Ecker and angryman101. I was able to kill your characters in this update, but I couldn't really incorporate an rp spot for you for your deaths and we are strapped for time. Everyone else can post your final post before I update and sum up this Log.
Oh and word of advice...don't stop posting in Log and think I'll forget about it...I'm one to hold grudges...I'll punish you when it hurts the most!
Tokyo Tower
Through enhanced binocular vision someone was spying on a discussion between Lance and Zerojii. She was absolutely right about following Zerojii Kenpachi. Not only was his story of amnesia questionable, but it seemed like he was selling off or communicating with others who could access Wesker's new bio-weaponry.
The eavesdropper then shifted their attention to the handful of civilians who were all preoccupying themselves with reading a newspaper, magazine or the clock that was held high on a nearby building. Not once did this person move an inch whilst watching them. Something was weird about these civilians and the fact that they continued to glance between the two gantzers and the clock did nothing to help this person's anxiety.
A female, Ada Wong to be precise, pulled away from the binoculars to pause and blink. “Something...something isn't right...its almost as if their...”Ada whispered before peering into the binoculars to see Zerojii turn and face her.
“Shit!” she swore and ducked quickly out of view.
She waited a moment before peering back up to see if she was noticed. She wasn't extremely fearful of being spotted, but the concept of blowing her cover and jeopardizing her progress with Zerojii put her on edge. For this reason alone she exhaled a sigh of relief after seeing that Zerojii was once again focused on Lance Fredrickson.
He hadn't noticed her...
Her gaze then fell on Tokyo Tower and at a very disturbing site that troubled her. On that very tower stood a man in a suit balancing against the wind on the metal platforms. She hadn't yet figured out how he had slipped out of her sight the first time she glanced there, but he was there now. He must have been a lunatic or a thrill seeker with his hands were wide open and his head was up to the clouds as if he were looking to a god of some sort. Mental...perhaps, suicidal? Have your pick...
She then tore her gaze away from the man about to attempt suicide to glance back at Zerojii and Lance. They still seemed to be oblivious to the man and the peoplestaring at them when they least expected it. She continued to gaze back and forth between the crazed man, the meeting and twenty or so people who were acting very strangely.
Then, unexpectedly, Ada noticed that one of the people had looked at her and smiled. She could have even swore they winked at her too as they brought the thumb of their right hand slowly across their throat. Most likely indicating that blood would be spilled as they gestured over toward her.
They knew she was watching...
But, how long had they known...and how?
She had to warn him...She had to warn Zerojii!
“Damn...its some sort of set up...it has to be! But, why? What are they planning?” Ada asked as she jumped backward as if astonished.
Down below, Zerojii took Lance's advice as well as the grenade he gave him and placed it in his pocket, then nodded, and walked away. He felt the hairs on his neck rise as if someone was spying on him. He would have probably dismissed it as his anxiety kicking in, but he chose to listen to his instincts. His instincts were right and he could make out the figure of someone on the roof before they ran off in the direction of the alley adjacent to that building.
When he entered the alley it was empty except for a familiar bike that belonged to someone he had met only last night. Here was the bike that belonged to Ada, but where was she? His eyes scanned the area with no avail. He figured no one was here until he was only able to see a blur of red as a woman in a red dress with a slit, exposing her thigh, fell from the heavens and landed gracefully in a cat-like crouched stance.
When she noticed him her eyebrows rose as if she hadn't been expecting him to find her. They then narrowed as if she were serious and she began to equip herself with a firearm that was strapped to her right thigh. It was then that she noticed that Zerojii already began reaching for his katana with a serious expression on his face as well.
“As much as I know I can implant a bullet through that head of yours before you can draw your sword...I'll refrain from doing that just yet. I want to know in all its entirety...just what kind of shit you've gotten yourself into. But, first...I need to get you out of-” Ada stated only to be cut off sharply as she was shot in the back.
Her eyes were wide and her blood had managed to splatter on Zerojii. And as a small portion dripped from her mouth, she stared down at the wound to the right of her chest. She then ran a hand against it, glancing at the blood before falling to her knees and then to the ground. With her last whim of strength she slid her 'blacktail' handgun toward Zerojii's feet.
Behind her motionless form the clicking of someone's shoes could be heard. If Zerojii where to look in that direction he'd see a silhouette of a man approaching him from out of the steam-like fog emitting from one of the buildings. When the man came into view it was Takase Niito. The murder and traitor held a Desert Eagle in his hand with a trail of smoke floating off the tip.
He smirked at Zerojii and blew smoke off the tip of his gun. “Damn...looks like I blew my load too quick on the bitch...fret not my boy. You'll be joining her soon enough...” Takase mused, pointing his handgun at Zerojii's head.
“Oh my...what a lovely show their putting on for us over there...” Niito informed jerking his gun in the direction of where Zerojii had just came.
Meanwhile on a nearby rooftop...
Lance had met up with Theodore and was almost finished cementing his ultimatum with him. Neither liked one another, but given their current circumstances they were a team whether they liked it or not. A treaty between the two would be made today, but perhaps broken the next?
Lance stared on at Theodore from their position on the roof with Tokyo tower behind them."Keep in mind your position. The rules are simple. You follow my instructions, always travel with at least two people, however aim for three, when we're on deployment, and you don't harass the women. In exchange, the incentive is I don't care what you do outside the hunts. Your conditions, are not vital to my plans, so I can ignore them. It is easy to turn everyone against you as it currently stands, but that reduces your chances of survival to near nil. Convincing people to allow you into the team is going to be hard, and may prove to be more trouble then it's worth if you wish to take up that bargaining chip with me." Lance stated, making his voice firm, to show that he was the one in control, not Theodore.
He then smiled at Theodore, not being able to see his own death play out in Theodore's imagination. He instead relished his well thought plan and enjoyed the fact that it seemed to be working at just as he had envisioned it would.
"Alright, but ya sure you don't wanna give me some money?" Theodore Bagwell attempted to beg, even going as far to add, "I would remember the generous deed if the time ever came for me reimburse you..." Theodore said with a smile.
Lance's face cringed briefly at the thought. "The suit is black, just take off the bloodied clothes, and go rob a grog shop or something once we're done here. You'll join us for the training session today, I will speak my piece. Do not object to what I say to them, as it is the only way I can get them to accept you. Trust, is another matter. One that I can not force, but, do your best not to kill me to early." Lance responded, finishing his sentence in a mocking tone.
The mercenary then reached into a box he carried with him, and pulled out a grenade. With good accuracy he pulled the pin, tossed it at Theodore, and hopped off the side of the building, expecting there to be a fire escape, but unfortunately enough him he was shit out of luck. An ordinary human being would have cracked open his head, but with his suit on, Lance couldn't exactly be referred to as ordinary.
He had fallen. Though he was safe, despite sitting up to notice that he no longer had his trusty box of grenades. If he looked in front of him he'd see three boxes instead of their being just one. What crazy ass form of mitosis was this? If he were to also look at the tower he'd see what appeared to be a man with two women at each of his side. The man was Takase and he had tied up and gagged Ami to his right and Tomoko as well on his left.
Meanwhile back on the roof...
Theodore recalled his life flashing before his eyes as he shouted, "Fucking bastard!"whilst jumping out of the way of Lance's grenade.
As it exploded it made more of a 'popping' sound rather then one that a grenade would make. If he were to turn quickly he'd see that that grenade, was actually a party novelty that shot out streamers when it had supposedly 'exploded'. Then and only then when Theodore removed his head from between his legs he'd be able see that a crowd of mime aliens and people had gathered around Tokyo Tower and were staring up at a man on the tower who was staring up to the heavens above. With him he had Ami and Tomoko on each of his side struggling in their respective bindings bindings. For some reason Takase had taken them captive and sided with the aliens from the previous mission.
Takase's laughter echoed through out the city below the tower. “Good afternoon, Tokyo! You all might know me...For those who have been living under a rock, I am a director...Takase is my name and I've come to you on this day to speak on behalf of a higher power...this higher power gives you a proposition. Its quite simple really, you help us...we spare you and we go on our humble way. There seems to be a few black leather-clad beings that have taken shelter in your beloved home of Tokyo. Once they are exterminated...Your lives will be back to the way they were before and all casualties will be kept to a minimum. Oppose us and we will not hesitate to erase you...”
Takase held up the black orb in his hand and allowed an aura to emit from it. 'Such power...I'm unsure of even how to control it all...Shin was careless.' he thought to himself before turning to his master's minions and the civilians.
“I shall show to you the power we now possess...” he shouted as he held the orb up.
"Your lives will now end..."
"How you use your new lives will be entirely up to us..."
"For, that is the theory..." Takase preached as he began to hover in the air.
As chaos took place in Tokyo Tower, his words worked like a premonition of what was yet to come, because indeed there was death that followed.
Umbrella Research Facility
Min Iminachi, a scientist working under Umbrella, barely was able to catch a wink of sleep under the harsh overtime that had been forced upon the entire staff. Umbrella was now attempting to run an analysis on their bio-weaponry for a new product that would later be issued out to the army. The weaponry consisted of suits, guns, controllers, swords and many other advanced weaponry that NERV had helped them with in development, before its untimely demise. The Project was codenamed the Gantz Project and had been kept secret from society ever since it began being developed.
Not much other then this was kept secret from Umbrella Researchers, but the feeling in the lab lately had been that Wesker wasn't telling them something. Whatever the secret was it had taken its toll on the entire organization and rubbed a lot of people off the wrong way. It even annoyed the hell out of Imanachi at times when she came in contact with those people.
Iminachi was a good scientist, but even she wasn't permitted to do much work on The Gantz Project other then filing important documents in which even, she was unable to read. There had been cameras at every nook and cranny of the entire lab and taking a peek at anything wasn't worth the risk! She instead, could be found implementing one of Umbrella's unsuccessful projects. The Project that envisioned a future with a product capable of being the fountain of youth.
Here she was with the infamous Annette Birkin, running routine tests on dormant flesh eating termites. The problem they seemed to be facing was that for some reason the exposure to the chemical on living organisms would cause them to become aggressive and force an instinctive need for them to feed to continue the reproduction of new cells to prolong its life span. In other words the test subjects were becoming zombie-like...Hopefully, using an already carnivores creature would show ways to alleviate that need.
Annette placed a reassuring hand on Min “Jira” Iminachi's shoulder. “Don't let it get to you...let the boys fiddle with their weapons of mass destruction and allow us gals to make history...” She mused encouragingly noticing that Jira was nervous and probably down about not being allowed to work with the other scientists on Project Gantz.
“Oh yeah...I did some snooping around earlier and I saw this handsome young boy and around your age! Well maybe not your age, but they were interrogating him, but handsome nonetheless...He came in with test subject Hope. Anyways...You should get married...what are you waiting for Jira?” Annette rambled, readying to administer the G sample, before pausing to give Jira a serious look. “You remembered to set the bio-reactor right? Oh...of coarse you did...you must get tired of me treating you like an amateur.”
However, even though Jira remembered setting it she didn't really remember what setting she had put it on. If she were to run back and check she might look bad in front of her peer.
Michael Hein's House USA
Michael heard voices. Voices with tones he didn't even recognize, because majority of them weren't him speaking even though they were traveling in his mind. The voices wanted him to kill himself and he knew why. He was hurt beyond belief and a broken human being by the hate casted at him by society. He was product of his environment and his environment around him wanted him to disappear. So he would become non existent.
He already had missed school and it was afternoon by now. No one had come to scold him for not going to school and they probably didn't care. He doubted they'd even find his corpse and if they ever did he wanted their to be a message. A message to all of the people who hurt him in his life, a message to his ex-girlfriend and a message to anyone going through the same thing he was.
How would he send that message?
How would satisfy the voices in his head?
How would he commit suicide?
A series of scenes begin where the new recruits either die or are set up for death.
Hospital - Street - Subway Chiba, Tokyo
Waking in the hospital bed, Anthony rubbed his eyes, got out of bed and quickly pulled on his broken Gantz suit. He then put on his clothes over his suit, remembering faintly what took place the night before.
Eventually he exited quite easily only to be shoved aside by a group of EMTs and a man on a stretcher who appeared to be missing his eye.
Once they got him outside they loaded him up and Anthony tore his gaze away to look on at what what appeared to be the same truck from yesterday. Only now it was being chased by none other than three Rabbit out of the Hat Aliens that were hopping on cars and threw traffic.
Makoto was once again at the wheel with her right hand gang member Matsuda Yamagata, riding shotgun and two others shooting at the aliens from the ajar doors in the back of the truck. Each of the bullets that actually did hit did literally nothing to harm or slow the pursuit of the rabbits. The other shots narrowly missed passerby, one unfortunately hit a man with a guitar, named Dino Kordangoand the other who was hit was Sekimoto, Kai. Dino was killed instantly while Kai had only a short amount of time before he'd bleed to death right in front of a hospital!
Anthony then noticed that not only were they being attacked by rabbits, but they were moments from crashing into a school bus as they ran another red light.
On that bus was a boy by the name of James Bunnark. He was a soccer player and his team was heading out to play a championship game against Osaka. The kids were noisy and and some kept pushing him as if trying to get him amped with the others.
“Everyone sit down!” The bus driver bellowed, but was drowned within noise.
For this reason alone James still stood close to telling his fellow teammate to stop touching him in the most polite way he could muster. Though, instead of turning to see his teammate the bus was hit and the first thing James saw was a window followed by pavement.
From Anthony's perspective he'd see the kid fly through the window of the bus as it would then crash into the back of the ambulance transferring Scott Rhymer to a new hospital. Then just when any sane person would hope the accident was over another truck flew straight into a nearby traffic light, crushing the body of Luke Lloyd.
The driver had slow reaction speed and must have been drunk...
The passenger and driver doors to the truck Makoto was driving opened then and out stumbled the last remaining gang members who had caused all of this. Despite the accident and minor bruises they could still move freely enough to run once they noticed that the rabbits were heading for them.
It looked as if they were heading for the Subway. Why were those aliens after them and why were they risking the lives of so many innocents bystanders?
Inside the Subway the two gang members, Makoto and Matsuda took a breather before Makoto stopped to see if he was okay. Though, as soon as she touched him he quickly removed his arm from her reach. He was tired of running, tired of having his gang be killed and tired of being apart of this.
“Matsuda....We can't stay here! We have to find out who made these weapons so we can put a stop to this...were all thats left of the gang! We have to stick together!” Makoto stated to as she readied her X-gun and checked her pockets to make sure the controllers were okay.
Matsuda knew deep down inside that Makoto was probably just doing this to satisfy her crushed pride. She no longer cared about the gang. The gang was dead and all she cared about was fucking Tam Wei it seemed! Why should he trust her and go with her? As Matsuda decided whether or not to stay true to his allegiance to his leader he would see her approach the crowd of people waiting for the train.
“Hey, move it...When the train comes...we get on it first! Got it?” She shouted at them, before her eyes fell on the half-chinese and half black boy staring back at her as if uninterested or unappeased by her. “What's with that look...you make faces like him...close your fucking eyes you little shit!” Makoto ordered whilst shaking her X-gun at Justin Bonner-Lui.
Tokyo Tower
Takase grinned to himself, glancing down at his airborne form. “It'll only be a matter of time before the link is chosen and....then we invade...” he whispered to himself as if satisfied with his work.
He then glanced down at the two female gantzers, Tomoko and Ami who were being held captive be none other then him of course. He decided to pass the time by seeing how much fun he could obtain from his former allies.
“Put on a good show...I'll rate your acting...”Takase mused.
From below the tower a man in the crowd looked up to see two people fall from the top of the tower. “Where the hell are the people their looking for? Their already starting to kill people!”

As Lance began to stand, he viewed his surroundings. He heard a man calling out, speaking loudly, to loudly to not be wanting attention and so Lance gave this individual the attention they desired. Taking in the three boxes, only briefly however. Things weren't going according to plan. Lance's fun had been cut short. This was not going to plan. And someone was going to pay for ruining both his plan, and his fun.
Lances face became serious, as was his mood. He was not joking or jesting any more. His mind worked, as he saw the figures drop, he began to move, running forward, leaping over the boxes using the power of the suit, Lance reached into his pocket. Unsure how long the blade would extend, he pulled out the sword he acquired from Theodore, and began to extend the blade, not letting the blade stop, not caring which civilians got hurt. Civilians weren't part of his plan. His plan had changed, he needed Ami, he had several plans in store for her and he wasn't allowing them to be cut short. Lance, holding down the extend button on the sword, intended to use it almost as if it was a pole vault, to attempt to meet Ami half way through the fall, and save the damsel in distress. And after he did that, his plan was to fight sword and gun, to take down as many of these bastard creatures as he could and retreat to a safer location.

Matsuda Yamagata was torn, a sane man would not stick with this woman for so long, His gang HIS gang, was dead and she didn't care, hell if Yamagata died right now she would shake it off as nothing he was sure. Does he step forward into he train on this suicidal mission or risk it the other direction with those 'things' right behind them. Before his mind could come clear he saw his leader point the gun at a civilian, the biker himself couldn't care less about these people but he could see in her eyes, she had snapped and would never come back. "Makoto!" Yama grabbed at her arm, he would try one last time to talk some sense into her and if she did not listen he would have to find the strength to just walk away...

OOC: Whoah, I didn't even notice this had been updated
Uhoh, I actually did post, their just invisible magic posts yeah that sounds like an excuse that'll fly!
IC:
Unfortunatly Jomos odd taste in clotheing only served to remind Kiba that he hadn't eaten much lately. Though he wasn't quite desperate enough to eat shit yet, Bananas sounded like they might be good. He began wandering around the area looking for the kitchen. If he found it would eat anything that looked edible. Kiba had never used a can opener though if Montezno kept his food in cans things were going to get messy. It was then he thought back tot he room, when was that group meeting to train supposed to happen?

"Strong words for a lady, what is that I've done to anger you?" Justin asked while scratching his chin. He looked up at her and a brow arched noticing she was pointing some kind of gun at him.
"Also I must warn you if you still wish to keep me in the feeling of hostility I will have no choice but to defend myself, and I'm no pushover." Justin said while moving his feet slowly into a fighting stance in case he were to defend himself. His plan was to shuffle outside of her view, grab her gun hand's wrist, wrap his other arm around her waist to perform a hip toss, so he could disarm her and take her down.

Michael's face cringed in anger. 'I should kill them all....no then they wouldn't learn...they wouldn't feel.' Michael thought as his anger slowly subsided into a sadistic grin. 'No, I wont do them the favor of letting them die. They haven't earned to be put to peace.'
Michael eyed the pain pills in his hand, they were for the pain in his shoulder...but now he felt he could put them to better use. 'Wheres their god? I sure as hell don't see him.' He idly held his knife with his other hand in front of his face. 'I see you though...'
Michael began cutting into his shoulder with his knife watching the blood on his blade through eyes full of tears. 'Oh yeah....I saw you you bitch...' He popped open the lid of the pills.

Zerojii slowly raised his hands as he began to feel the rage he used like a crutch to keep himself sane well up inside of him once again. The only person besides Lance that Zerojii had decided was worth a damn had just gotten shot in the back by some fuck-all clown. Zerojii knew that he should listen to the man, but he just couldn't hear the bastard's words. All he heard was a loud ringing in his ears; he saw red. He wanted to kill this son of a bitch; slowly, painfully. Right then, Zerojii noticed Takase jerk his gun towards the others. This was his chance; Zerojii quickly dropped his elbows and used his right foot to kick Ada's pistol at Takase's foot. As he did this, he ducked into a crouch and pulled his y-gun out of the holster, simultaneously pulling the grenade Lance had given him out of his pocket. He remembered what Lance had said, and threw the grenade into the air above Takase after pulling the pin with his teeth. Zerojii didn't have the time to wait for the grenade to go off, so he would simply attempt to pull up his x-ray screen on Takase before firing his y-gun at him. If all this worked out, Zerojii would pull his katana out and rush Takase, hopefully chopping him into two at the waist.

Once the chaos that had just unfolded in front of his eyes had finally finished, Anthony took a moment to be violently sick on the ground. It had been the boy's body being crushed by the ambulance that finally made him hurl. Although he had been through a Gantz mission, he hadn't actually yet seen any humans been killed before his eyes.
Stunned and a little shaken, he stood hunched over, his hands supported by his knees, breathing deeply. Despite what he had just seen, the fact that the surviving aliens from the mission were on the loose was also playing on his mind, and the coincidence that they were chasing Makoto (who apparently was some kind of mad criminaly judging by what he had witnessed) was just plain odd.
Standing up straight, he searched the skyline for Tokyo Tower; his plan of meeting the others there had to go ahead even more than before, he had to warn them about the aliens. When he found it he meant to ignore the chaos outside the hospital and keep heading towards the Tower. He thought to himself that he didn't attract any attention to himself since he was wearing regular clothes over his suit, and no one was looking at him after all that had gone on around them.
