Hmm, what to say, what to say?
For starters, this thread is for you guys to comment on what you like and don't like about my Project. If I killed your character and your pissed, tell me! If my Project sucks, tell me! Hopefully, after hearing your thoughts I can then ensure that something is done to make my Project more suitable to your tastes. So remember, anything goes so don't hold back, and let the Constructive Criticism fly!

From there you can make all kinds of mission maps of anywhere in the world. I'd be more than willing to lend a hand with the ground work of map making if you're interested.

You should speak to Shad about this since he also seems interested in using these types of maps for missions. I on the other hand refuse to use them or enforce them on other mods, because I prefer to allow mods to be as creative as they want with their role-plays. I like allowing them to choose whether or not they'd like to mod a Life Outside of Gantz or not, and mission maps aside, the sole purpose of realistic maps were to allow mods to have a reference pertaining to the region they were modding.
Don't expect me to do this though, because I personally find it impossible to work with those kinds of maps as a mod, because I am unfamiliar with the location I'm working with. I couldn't even do one of America, because I haven't even left the East coast and I still have a bad sense of direction. That's why I chose to create my own reality, and my own mission maps, because if I were to decide to blow up the world I created it would in no way have an affect on anyone elses Project. That's why chose to continue to make my own maps until my role-players are no longer pleased. However, from what I'm aware of, none of my role-players in the past have complained about me creating my own log area or mission maps. I also don't think they'd mind if other mods decided to go out of their way to do the same.

Okay well, that's fine, I'm just always of the oppinion that real life is better than fantasy so the more realistic a game is the better. Are there any projects at the moment that use real maps?

Okay well, that's fine, I'm just always of the oppinion that real life is better than fantasy so the more realistic a game is the better. Welp the fact that I'm using my own enviornment doesn't mean it'll take much away from realism. I plan to make Gantz's Metropolis similar to Batman's Gotham in the sense that everyone knows it doesn't exist, but since it doesn't hurt the story, people are willing to accept the story taking place there. I'm a big advocate for realism, but I feel as if too much realism and not enough imagination tends to make some games boring. I play a game to accomplish and do things that I can't do in real life. That's why I'm so convinced you need to have a balance between the two or else the game will be either too boring or two ridiculous. For example, if we were to go all out with realism, despite the tech being a stretch, but possibly obtainable in the future, something like having Vampires in Gantz would simply be impossible because they're mythical beings. Are there any projects at the moment that use real maps? As of now the site has been in the process of revival for a little more than a month after going inactive for about a year. We haven't even attempted to advertise on other sites and pretty much all of our members are returning or are coming from Gantz Players. So to be honest, there's only one Project that is running at the moment and it's a filler Project called Project Gizmo(something for our members to do whilst we revamp our forum) . So far it has been the only Project to use Google Maps for missions. The only problem is that the Gantzers were already teleported out for there mission so I'm not quite sure whether or not Shad will allow you to jump in until the mission is over. However, if your patient and you can wait a couple weeks, an additional Project may open up and start recruiting, but I can't guarentee that Google Maps will be used for missions. And the same can be said for whatever other Projects may be started after certain mods successfully complete their mod training. The decision to do this will be up to them in the end.

Too realistic eh? Never heard of it.
Yeah, I may just wait a couple weeks for Gizmo I guess. We'll see, I'll check out the other projects.
