Project:
Name: Richard “Rick” O’Shea
Age: 55
Sex: M
Race: Caucasian (Australian)
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 180
Hair Color: Light Blonde
Eye Color: Green
Language(s): English
Career: N/A
Inventory: Bowie knife
One Strength: Acutely aware of his surroundings
One Weakness: Technologically inept
Appearance: Rick is a well-built, bronzed man. He has extremely light, slicked-back, blonde hair that comes down just past his ears. He arrives in the room wearing a pair of khakis, a dark blue dress shirt, and heavy brown boots.
Personality: Rick is a lighthearted, ever-happy man, who is always willing to help someone in trouble. He is very chivalrous, but the extremity of it can sometimes be mistaken for chauvinism. He speaks in a heavy Australian accent. Decades of limited contact with large cities has left him ignorant or apathetic of most technology. Though he does not reject his British heritage, he considers himself an Australian, and prefers Bon Scott to Brian Johnson.
Background: Richard O’Shea was born in Scotland but moved to Australia at a young age. His parents were veterinarians, and, while treating a wild wallaby, they were accosted by poachers. They tried to get rid of the poachers and were shot dead in the ensuing struggle. Rick was taken in by the aboriginal family of a close family friend while his older brother Mick decided to start living on his own. He grew up on the edge of the Outback, and though he preferred a simpler life, he didn’t completely remove himself from modern society. He would occasionally come into town to buy food or a fresh set of clothes. He made money by doing odd jobs around town but rarely even needed money, being able to live off the land. He only hunted with a knife or boomerang, however, as his parents’ deaths instilled a strong hatred of guns in him, and he only hunted out of necessity, never for sport.
Cause of Death: After more than 40 years of separation, Rick’s brother Mick got in touch with him and expressed an interest in reconnecting with him. It took some convincing, but Rick finally decided to visit Mick in Japan. Mick paid for a plane ticket and clothes more befitting “city folk,” but was unable to meet Rick at the airport. Rick declined the limo ride awaiting him, and instead decided to walk to Mick’s office building. On his way there, he happened upon a woman being mugged. Rick attempted to intervene but his knife was no match for a gunshot to the heart.
