If you can solve any of these questions, or tanslate the pages in the Gantz Mechanics section, it would be greatfully appreciated. I am going to look through the manga itself again and figure out as much as I can too.
1- How many of each weapon/item exists? (Mainly swords, monobike, and controllers)
2- Where is the controller located in the room?
3- Compared to another thing, how fast can the motorbike go?
If you have an answer, you'll also need to have proof. At least a chapter number or where to look. Without these things specifically spelled out, we'll have to generalize.

If you see anything wrong, let me know.
Mission 1: Onion Alien 9 People, 1 Animal 2 Suits, 1 Controller, 4 X-guns, 2 Y-gun, 1 X-Rifle
Mission 2: Tanaka Alien 12 People, 1 Animal 9 suits, 3 Controllers, 6 X-guns, 1 Y-gun, 1 X-Rifle Comments: In the room 10 cases are clearly shown
Mission 3: Buddha Alien 14 People, 1 Animal 10 Suits, 2 Controllers, 6 X-Gun (maybe 7+), 1 Y-Gun, 4 X-Rifles, Comments: Katou states "there is one case for each person" The guns get tossed around so much it's hard to keep track. There may have been a 7th or more X-guns.
Mission 4: Shorty Alien 1 Person 1 Suit, 2 X-guns, 2 X-Rifles
Mission 5: Dino 24 People, 1 Animal 3 Suits, 2 Controllers, 3 X-guns, 1 X-rifle, 1 Sword, 1 Monobike Comments: Can clearly see 4 swords and 2 monobikes in the room (after Izumi already took 1 sword).
Mission 6: Ring Alien 14 People, 1 Animal 15 Suits, 1 Controller, 4 X-guns, 6 X-Rifles, 1 Sword
Mission 7: Tae 13 People, 1 Animal 14 Suits, 4 Controllers (Maybe 6), 6 X-guns, 7 X-Rifle, 1 Sword
Mission 8: Oni 16 People, 1 Animal 17 Suits, 8 Controllers, 4 X-guns, 12 X-rifles, 2 Swords Comments: Even with 12 X-Rifles out, the ball shows X-Rifles still in the rack.
I will update on missions as more come.
This determines that I will have: (Subject to change) 6 X-Guns, 6 Y-Guns, 12 X-Rifles, 5 Swords, 2 Bikes, 8 Controllers, and as many suits as players. The amount of players will depend on the Mod.

I don't know if this is right but on the cover of Chapter 53 Flase Tranquility, you can see 5 X-Rifles, 7 X-Guns and 3 Y-Guns lied out on the floor. Are these all the guns then?

yea I got all the chapters on my PC I'll upload the cover to here. But it's inaccurate because of you look at the ball it shows 9 small racks and 6 big racks I remember right there was a chapter where you could see in the small racks were three X-Guns and three Y-Guns on each side and 6 X-Rifles in total. So this how many I think there are. With the swords I'm guessing 3 EDIT: QM has posted there wer 12 X-Rifles b eing used in two chapters I'll look up on that when I get home from school

I always thought there were 6 x-rifles, 6 x-guns, 6 y-guns. Maybe if you carry a weapon over from a previous mission, duplicates are created? Maybe Gantz caters to the number of Gantzers that come in? I'm not sure. We know there is an Osaka Gantz (probably), so Gantz balls may come in different sizes. Hell, there might be more than one Gantz in the apartment building everybody gets transported to in Tokyo; I don't think they pay attention to the room number they come out of or anything... As far as swords and controllers go, they are in the monobike room. There are 6 katanas and 6 controllers to my knowledge. They both are to the right as you enter the door; katanas on the floor, not extended at all, controllers above them on a shelf. At least that's how I picture it in my head. A monobike can go FAAST. That dude in like 243 was ripping right through aliens with the monobike. No idea what the top speed is, but I'd say at least 150.

Thought I might as well say this again here (I said it in Project 2 OOC). The controllers are housed on the Gantz unit not in the cases. While it was never shown in great detail in the manga nor the anime, at the end of chapter 142 (volume 12) it has some extras in the form of sketches. One of the pages shows the top of the segment of the shell which holds the suits, and in the top of it sits 6 controllers.
Also additionally with the controllers, if you look at page 5 of chapter 191 (volume 17) of the manga, you would notice there are 4 buttons on the controller as well as a slide. Now, while this may very well be wrong, I think I've figured out what most of it does.
In that page there, the slide dial, is pushed all the way to the right, I suspect that that is the zoom level. And when it's all the way to the right it's zoomed in at the max. There are also two large buttons on either side of the controller. The Gantzers usually have their thumb on the left button, and from some of the different positions of the thumb on the button, it's used to scroll around the map. The right button, I then suspect is the stealth activation.
The two buttons in the middle of the controller, I have yet to figure out what they do, but as far as things go, I suspect that one would be to change the viewing plane of the map (from horizontal to vertical, and back again) and the other one, I have no knowledge of yet.
Does anyone else have any theories about the controllers 4 buttons + slide?
EDIT: Also, after reviewing some material, I suspect the Gantz monobike has the ability to reach speeds of somewhere around 100 km/h. This is based on the appearence of the monobike in the manga at the Kappe Alien Mission (Dinosaur Mission). Reading on theories as to top speeds of the T-Rex, they range from 14km/h to 40km/h. But, then if that was their speed in the manga it would've been to simple to outrun them with any form of conventional motorvehicle. Especially if you apply the 14km/h theory to the T-Rex. Thus, analysing the structure of the aliens, you would notice that their muscles are generally stronger then the average terrestial equivilant, which is further supported by the fact that when you analyse the T-Rex, you would notice that around its legs and several other parts of its body, it appears to have the same sort of "Gantz Artificial Muscle" appearence.
Based on observations of the T-Rex aliens in the chase scene, I would suspect that the aliens would've increased the basic run speed of the T-Rex by 10 if the 14km/h theory is applied here, thus making their top speed 140km/h.
But then again, through analysis of the workings of the monobike, it is far from a conventional vehicle and so if applying the theory of the 40km/h, the aliens would've increased it's speed by 2, making its top speed somewhere near 80km/h and this would be far more acceptable within Gantz Perameters based on the size of which the Gantzers have to work within to defeat the aliens. I would suspect that the old man didn't drive at full speed with the monobike due to all the turns he needed to take, and since the T-Rexs barreled straight forward, I believe it would be acceptable to place the top speed of the monobike somewhere between 70km/h and 120km/h. While this is still a rather large gap in speed of which the Gantz monobike may be able to operate at, it is probably safe to thus estimate that its top speed is 100 km/h.

Thought I might as well say this again here (I said it in Project 2 OOC). The controllers are housed on the Gantz unit not in the cases. Sorry dude, the controllers are in the monobike room on a shelf above the katanas. I don't feel like looking it up right now, but if you do, be my guest. Once I'm back from my surgery tomorrow I'll find it and hotlink it if you want. I don't know anything about the controllers other than their location; never paid much attention to the button placement. Looked like they had a start/select button and shit. PSP, y'know? I believe it would be acceptable to place the top speed of the monobike somewhere between 70km/h and 120km/h. I think these speeds sound plausible. Considering the monobike blasted through aliens, utterly obliterating them... I'd go with about 100 km/h or more. Just my guess, though.

Hmmm.... while on a nice shielf above the Gantz Sword sounds nice and neat, I'd like to ask you this. What shelf? And which wall would it be on since the Gantz Swords are scattered all around the room. My proof for my previous statements are these:
Monobike Room
Volume 12 Chapter 142 Extras
As you can see in the first picture, there is no shelf. And as you can see in the second picture, there are sketches of the Gantz unit, the top left one showing what appears to be a top down shot of the Suit shelf, and sitting right on top of it, you see what appears to be housing space for 6 controllers.

Ok, so maybe the shelf isn't right above the katanas. That only shows one angle of the room, though. I distinctly remember a shot of someone finding a controller in the monobike room... I'm looking for it right now, but I have to leave for a while in 5 minutes.
EDIT: As far as being inside the ball goes... I don't see them in any of the pictures. Not even concept art. If you do, please point out where.

-_- I just posted a picture of one of the sketches of the Gantz ball. It shows right there the suit rack and on top of it it shows 6 controllers sitting on top of it.

the gantzers had controllers before they found the room with the katanas and monobike. ok, but i still don't see any controllers in any of those sketches. i also seem to remember "the fag" having a controller from the outside world, but he may have picked it up in the gantz room or something. I dunno if the controllers are supposed to be some commonplace item in Japan or not. I only wish I werent incapacitated on pills so I could actually look this garbage up, lol.

As for an updated weapon count, the way I see the weapon set up is this (this is NOT official in any way; just here for mechanics debate):
According to the shelf layout:
EITHER
9 x-guns 3 y-guns
OR
6 x-guns 6 y-guns
+ 8-12 x-rifles
+ 4 katanas
+ 2 monobikes
+ 4 controllers (# of controllers and controller location are subject to mod rule; nothing is accepted as of now)
If there were 30 people per project, and everyone were to get 1 weapon (including monobikes), everyone would be able to have a weapon (assuming there are only 8 x-rifles; 12 gives a surplus). This is also assuming that no one had a weapon prior to the opening of the ball, which is not normally the case.

believe me Kbell I've looked this up a hundred times. There are 12 X-Rifles and 6 Y and X-Guns and 4 katanas. I'm not going to show you proof because i've done it multiple times and you should trust me on this one. I'm not sure about the controllers but I'm going with Durasuness here and say 6. This doesn't mean I agree with the location of the controllers.

I believe you; just remember that ultimately, the number of weapons available and location of controllers/100 point weapons is up to the mod of each individual project.
